He cut an odd figure as he entered the library, the black cowboy hat and long leather coat wasn't really normal for anyone except him which was pretty much the reason he continued to wear it.
Striding confidently over to the desk he smiled at the attendant and got directions to the local history section. It was strange he always thought as he made his way to the books. All his life he avoided studying, prefering to get by on looks and his physical abilities but since meeting a Slayer he had gained a passion for reading. Time spent with Giles in the early hours of the morning discussion various demons and theories made him smile as he took the hat off and sat down. Sitting the black leather hat to the side he began to search the nearby shelves with his finger, scanning over each spine as his eyes darted over the names.
Humming slightly as he had a tendancy to do when it was quiet, it certainly wasn't Sunnydale library or Giles private collection but at least they had a decent local section. Picking up a couple he twisted round and began to quickly scan through them for the info he might need.
Aware that some people where looking at the gothy youth he looked up and gave them a wink and a grin before going back to his research. It didn't take him long to find the steady stream of missing people, urban legends and other signs that this place was just as bad as the place he had left behind. It also proved one thing more, he wasn't anywhere near his home if he was even in the same dimension any more. His gut twisted up as the thoughts dawned on him, no more friends and no more life that he had built up which meant he was starting anew, completely from scratch.
Finn sighed and leaned back in his chair, running the thoughts through his mind over and over again. Now wasn't the time to mope, he really wasn't that sort of person so all he needed now was a plan of action. "First things first" Finn muttered to himself as he went back to the books.

Lisa sat at the back of the library, libraries where not a place Lisa could usually be found but she needed somewhere quiet, somewhere she could get away from the noise of the slayers council and the banging music the people living in the apartment next door from her were playing, she had her laptop out not for work of course but to play on some internet game she had found whilst online. Loosing again she sighed and let out a groan before remembering that she was meant to be silent. She gave an apologetic look to those who had looked up from there studying to see who had disturbed them and stopped herself from grinning ’losers’ she thought to herself.
Slamming the lid of her laptop to the annoyance of the others she let out a grin this time and picked up her shoulder bag from beside the chair placing it at the side so she could put her laptop into it when a guy across the way caught her eye, he was tall with black hair and blue eyes; blue eyes were always something that Lisa had loved and his were to die for. He had a hat by the side of him and was wearing a long leather coat and humming away to himself as though no one else could hear him. Not paying any attention to what she was doing Lisa decided to place her laptop back into her bag and walk out of the library first passing the cute guy with blue eyes to try and catch his eye first.
She walked with confidence as she reached the table he was sat at but at that point the strap on her bag decided to split and everything fell out of it right in front of him. ”My laptop!” she groaned starting to feel her cheeks go bright red with embarrassment. Not noticing the stake that had rolled beneath his chair

"My laptop!"
Finn looked up quickly as a large chunk of plastic dropped into his lap. Looking up he smirked at the girl and then picked the laptop up and held it out to her "What can I say, your lap and your top look great, or was that not what you meant?"
Shifting a little he placed it on the table "That was a little too easy, I think your going to have to sit down and talk to me now. Compensation for physical and mental injury. I'd say you need to kiss me better but considering where I got hurt and I just met you, we can save that to a latter date." Completely at ease with how he was talking, it was second nature to him to put on a mask of confidence and charm, the years of dealing with his unusual feeding habits had taught him well.
"I like to get to know my muggers better, especially when they are as cute as you. I'm Finn by the way and apart from angelic you would be?" Finn extended his now free hand, the other sitting lightly on the laptop as if claiming it for a little while longer. He kept his tone quiet considering where they where but he wasn't too bothered by who heard him really.

As the guy caught the laptop in his lap Lisa smirked, it was almost too perfect. As he spoke Lisa could feel the confidence just gushing out of him and loved it, she liked it when a guy was a little cocky and confident, she took a seat next to him as he went on about later dates…’Date? Now that sounds good to me’ she thought to herself. As Finn extended his hand Lisa took it ”Aren’t you a charmer Finn, I’m Lisa and I’m far from angelic” she grinned.
She looked into those deep blue eyes of his and there was something mysterious about him that Lisa couldn’t put her finger on, it was like that sixth sense of hers that always came about when a vampire was around but this was daylight so of course he couldn’t be anything but the cocky charmer Lisa had first thought. ”So what is it about me that gives you the impression I must be a mugger?” she asked jokingly tilting her head to the floor a little. As she did so lisa noticed the stake that must have slipped out of her bag, her eyes widednd and she knew she had to get it back before Finn noticed it there. She looked back up at him and put on a warm smile, trying to think of a way to get the stake back so she didn’t have to make up some bizarre story which would make another cute guy think she was crazy.

When she took his hand he smiled and kissed it lightly "pleasure to meet you Lisa." With a small grin he shrugged "attacking random men with laptops must be a new tactic granted but still its a blunt object." He frowned a little at her odd reaction, was she looked at something on the floor or just avoiding his gaze?
Shifting a little to look over the table edge to see what had caught her attention he tried not to laugh as he saw the wooden impliment of vampiric death and looking up raised his eyebrow as he looked back at Lisa "Pointy looking, your a gardener or something?" Not really good to start talking about Slayers here he decided and maybe a little safer to get the lay of the land first before he said anything. "Looks like your a lady with some odd habits either way, carrying mini fence posts in your bag and attacking random people with laptops."
Was this girl a Slayer or something similar? Did this place even have things like that? Finn frowned slightly as he tried to piece things together before the same lazy smiled crept back across his lips "I guess thats a bit personal, I'd hate to offend your boyfriend or something."

Lisa couldn’t believe it when Finn noticed the stake, she had to think fast “There urmmm there for… History class” Lisa spat out not knowing what else she could say ‘oh great am just another crazy girl’ she thought as she saw the look on Finns face. She jumped off the chair and picked up the stake and stuffed it in her bag “Were looking at old medieval ways of living, and they where used to keep tents pitched up… that’s why I was in here, researching it on my laptop. I go to the university.” Now if he didn’t think she was crazy he would soon find out that she was a big liar she hadn’t stepped a foot though the doors of Misery’s university and knew nothing about history.
As Finn spoke again Lisa felt a bit calmer and she sat back down to reply “I don’t have a boyfriend” she smiled ‘Could be because every guy you get close too ends up thinking your crazy because of things like wooden stakes, crosses and holy water’ a little voice said inside her.

"History?"Finn said slightly amused, maybe she was telling the truth but her snapped answered hinted otherwise. "I suppose its multi purpose, stick down tent ropes, dig holes and I suppose if you really had to you could stick it in someone as a weapon"
Smiling he leaned back in his chair and shrugged "Worlds a crazy place at times I guess. I have to admit you really don't strike me as the History student type but what do I know. Even crazier is that your single or your a lesbian and thats just cruel and unusual for all of mankind. So how does a pretty lady like you stay single?"
Inside Finn was chuckling away, Slayers where, at least where he was from had a bad time getting a boyfriend to understand they could whoop their butts and save the world. He'd only met two Slayers in his life, Buffy and Faith. Two women that where polar opposites personality and attitudes to men. Buffy wanted stability and a guy to be there for her where as Faith just wanted her socks rocked and blown off in bed, no strings attached. It was bugging him though if this girl was a Slayer or not, it would make sense that she was with the stake and all but it paid not to assume too much.

Finn may have been handsome and a charmer but he asked too many annoying questions so far for Lisa to like, why couldn’t he just drop the stake instead of rubbing it in that he must have thought she was crazy. Then he said something about sticking it in people as a weapon now Lisa thought that maybe he was crazy or maybe he knew about her world, about slayers and demons and what goes on when the sun goes down.
She decided to drop the whole subject of the stake as he brought up the fact she didn’t have a boyfriend to hopefully make him forget about it. “I just haven’t found a GUY who can keep up with me yet” Lisa smirked emphasising on the word guy to make sure Finn understood that she was a mans girl. “And what about you Finn? Surely a man as handsome and charming as you must have a girlfriend around here.” she smiled.

"You could say I'm single again"Finn grinned with a wink "No one can keep up huh?" Seems this one was a bit of a fire cracker as well as cute, it was kinda refreshing to have a girl give back lines as much as he gave them.
Shutting the book he was reading and placed it back on the shelf "You know you might actually be a bit of a god send, I'm kinda new in town and could use a few pointers and stuff, if your up to it of course."
Finn had decided that a cute tour guide would be much more fun than sitting wading through books all day, perhaps he would be able to find out if Slayers existed and what sort of world this was with a more and visually pleasing first hand account.
"I'd intended to do some reading on the town but I think I would rather get a down and dirty, gossip and all tour from a local. I don't want to take you away from your studies though. Hate to be accused of making you fail or something."

Lisa couldn’t help blush a little as Finn winked at her, so he was single and didn’t seem to think Lisa was crazy carrying around a sharp wooden stick they were all worth ticks in her boxes but Lisa still couldn’t help but feel that odd sixth sense sensation. She shrugged it off wondering if it was just the attraction she felt for this guy he did have the looks to make any girl tingle a little.
“There isn’t really much good in this town to see but I shall be your tour guide, its going to cost you though, I hope you don’t think I’d let you get away without buying me dinner now do you” she grinned “And don’t worry about my studies I’m pretty sure I never had a chance at passing anyway” this was true considering the fact that she wasn’t even a student.
“So where are you from?” she asked inquisitively
