Xander watched with a smirk as Amy caught his stake and fought off the vamp rather easily, but slightly sloppy. It reminded him of Buffy when she first came to Sunnydale and was relatively new to slaying. From this he could she hasn't been trained much, but she had spectacular potential. Xander noticed he burst of excitement when she dusted the vamp. "Great jo..." Xander attempted to congratulate when suddenly she hugged Xander. Xander hugged back almost mistaken Amy for Buffy. She really started to remind him of Buffy in high school before the Angel mess. Xander smiled and looked down at her. "You did good! You should be proud of yourself." They started to make their way out of the cemetery and Amy handed his stake back to him. "Thanks, we might be needing Mr. Splinter before the nights over. Especially with my track record." Xander said with sarcasm.
As they walked, Xander smiled turn to a frown. "Unfortunately, I have to act like an adult about this. We got lucky Misery is known for larger packs of vampires and I know from experience from the short time I was here. Don't mean to burst your bubble, but you have a lot of training and learning to be done." Xander hated when he had to act old, it reminded him of his childhood mentor Giles. He knew he had to do t for her and any other slayer's sake. He had to keep them on their feet, don't let their confidence get the best of them. Especially with their poor mortality rate.
Xander sighed and relented. "Hey don't get me wrong, I don't like being hard on slayers, it's just that I kind of have to. I really don't like being like that once in awhile, but I have lost friends, slayers and normal people. Just promise me you will be careful next time your on your own out here." Xander smiled as she asked happily what he had in mind to go eat. Xander glanced at his cell phone and noticed it was 1:30 AM. "Hey Wendy's is not that far from here, I'm sure if we powered walked it up, we could make it before they closed up. If that's alright with you?" He said with a hope that she would agree, there is nothing like five double stacks after patroling.
