Gail pounded her fist in the punching bag. The twins were fast asleep in their carriers. Gail had been training for an hour now and her fist would have been bleeding if she wasn't wearing her fingerless leather gloves. Her hair was slightly messy but pulled back in a ponytail and she was wearing all black, a black t-shirt and black jeans with black combat boots. The punching bag swung as she hit it with angery blows. Her eyes were focused on her target and were full of rage.

Majer stared at the coffee in her hand. She was sitting in the starbucks. Her hair had grown longer since she had gotten here. Instead of dozens of short braids it was in ten thin French braids. Majer sniffed the coffee once and then tossed the three dollar delicacy in the garbage. Majer went back to the counter and ordered some tea. Majer had tried over and over to like coffee but she always found it bitter and gross. Majer paid for her tea.
Majer headed in the direction of the slayer head quarters. It was early but the streets were still busy. People walked around like phantoms, going to school and work. They were caught up in their own insignificant lives. Majer frowned one day you were worrying about the promotion and the next you were a vampire.
Majer looked at the girl in the training room. As the only watcher Majer knew a little about almost all the slayers. This one was Gali, or so Majer thought. Majer was wearing a blue tie-dye t-shirt and black cargo pants. On Majers feet were black combat boots. Majer put the tea that was in her hand down on a counter. Majer walked over to the twins, she didn’t know their names.
“They look like you. What are there names?” Majer said and bent down to be next to the babies.

Gail didn't even look at the girl that came in. "The blonde one's Anna and the brown haired one is Venessa." She said continueing to punch the bag. Anna woke up and stared at her mother then at the girl. Then she finally closed her eyes and fell back asleep as Venessa did that same as her. Gail wasn't paying much attention to them since she started training.

“Wow, you certainly have some power there.” Majer said looking at Gali.
Majer stood up from her crouched position. She walked over so she was on the other side of the punching bag. It appeared as though something was on Gali’s mind. Majer couldn’t even begin to know what. Majer shifted her weight from foot to foot. Majer noticed the dent in the punching bag. Gali had been here for a while, either that or she was punching really hard.
“Something bothering you Gali.” Majer trusted her instincts and called the girl Gali. Boy would it be embarrassing if she was wrong.

Gail nodded. "It's Gail," She said. "Not Gali." Her fist had stopped hitting the bag when her hands finally started to hurt. "So are you a new slayer or something?" Gail asked checking out her hands to make sure they weren't bruising.

Majer sighed. She really needed to stop guessing people’s names and getting them wrong. Majer smiled when Gail asked if she was a slayer. It was funny because Majer was the farthest thing from a slayer. Sometimes she wished she was. It was hard, living in a world surrounded by magic, and just being a plain old human.
“Nah, I’m a watcher, the only one here right now.” Majer said. As she picked of a sword and tossed it around in her hands.

"Yeah. It really isn't watcher central right now." Gail said. She took of her gloves. They were thining and she would have to get a new pair soon. If only she had the money. "So watcher... thats cool. Never met one before though."

Gabriel looks at Gail as she was training and talking to the lady at the same time. Well how long has it been love...Gabriel says alot so that he could catch Gail attention.

Gail's head shot up. "What are you doing here?" She asked facing Gabriel. She was slightly happy to see him but that was pushed down from the surface.

Majer’s eyes flickered as the new person walked in. She took one look at his clothing, hair, and lack of tan, and had a feeling she knew what he was. Majer griped the sword tighter in her hand. When Gail greeted him civilly Majer relaxed a bit. She shouldn’t assume things. Majer still held the sword. He didn’t look on his guard. Majer figured that he must be a friend.
“A friend?” Majer asked, her eyes never leaving the man.
Even if he was a vampire, vampires have fought on the slayers side before. Majer chose not to prod. If Gail told her what was going on it would be because Gail wanted her to know. Majer swung the sword a few times. She then threw it at a target. It landed only a few inched from the center. It stuck in the target for a moment but then fell out. She was no slayer, but all her years of training were not for nothing.
Majer went over to the weapons and took out a few stakes. She lifted the leg of her pant; there was a few straps around her calf. She placed three stakes and a dagger in one and a small ax in the other. She also grabbed a roll of bandages and stuffed them in her pocket.
“Im gonna go.” Majer said, sensing the fact she wasn’t wanted.
“Unless you want me to stay.” Majer said but she was already standing in the doorway.
