And sometimes, sometimes, I wish xxx -------------------------------------- Alyssa was in no way quiet! Pfft... she was the furthest from it you were ever ever ever ever ever going to find!! She was always gobbing off about something and the human equivalent of hyperactivity through and through! She moved from guy to guy as Alyssa danced her way around the dance floor. Alyssa had a no touching rule... a guy touched.... Alyssa moved on! Alyssa wasn't guy shy but she wasn't some cheap hussie either! She wasn't there for their enjoyment..... she was there for hers! The puny excuse for what Alyssa called a dress hung perfectly from her slender frame! She was a bean pole, almost literally, but that never really stopped her!!! She wore what she wanted to wear and if the rest of the world didn't like it...... they know where their anus is right!? Alyssa looked towards the guy she was currently dancing with and laughed. As she did so she turned, her body no longer moving with the music as she headed away from the floor and towards the bar! "Gimme a beer!" Alyssa said, catching back her breath slightly. She sat up at a stall, shaking her hair and running her hands through it slightly as the beer arrived at the bar! She winked slightly at the bar keep before looking away, down at her bottle. She tapped her fingers gently on the bar and started to sing along to the music without even realising she was doing so. Since being 'rescued' by lisa things seemed to be on an up!!! She wasn't scared anymore, she wasn't constantly scared of her own shadow!! She was free to be herself but..... she'd been running and hiding for so long that she had forgotten who herself was.

Duncan was new to town, and like he had done for years the first night in a town he would go to the nearest club to see what he could. Tonight he sat at the bar, ordering beer after beer, trying to fit in with the children around him partying. He had spent most of that time at the bar watching the dancer girls on the floor, they moved like the old oracles when they where high on their fumes. He smiled as he downed another beer, as one approached the bar, appearing to be in need of a moment to catch her breath.
He didn’t say anything even if she was right next to him, at least at the moment. She began to play with her hair, sweeping her hand through her hair as the beer was given to her. He looked to the barkeep who seemed to eye the girl for a moment, a little to long for his own good. Duncan tapped his bottle on the bar top hard enough to get both of their attention if they were not used to such things. The barkeep stopped eyeing the girl and ask him what he wanted, he ordered another round then looked to the girl. “You know you probably should be more careful what you wear, men will get the wrong idea.” he said smiling, just a friendly smile.
“Or haven’t you ever watched the television before?” he ask jokingly as he downed half the bottle. With his past he had drunk enough beers to put the club out of business, these few beers had barely given him a buzz. “My name’s Duncan.” he said simply enough “What your name?” he ask, playing his role as a simple mortal man.

Alyssa turned her head to look at this man as he spoke and then looked back to her beer... head down as she let out a little laugh. She looked back up and smiled at him, wrinkling her nose ever so slightly. "Well maybe i should let them get the wrong idea! I mean after all.... I've been sensible for what... a whole 3 weeks and im bored now!" Lys joked. Her forefinger traced shapes into her beer bottle as Alyssa spoke a response to him asking her name. "Nice to meet you Duncan! I'm Alyssa!" She said turning on the stool to face him.

Duncan just smiled a bit, her body language spoke volumes to him but he said nothing about it. She just kept playing with her drink so Duncan ignored it, or pretended not to see it. “Wow three weeks, you have the makings of a saint.” he joked as he took another swig of his beer. “So tell me Alyssa, as cliché as this sounds, what’s a girl like you doing here?” he ask. His tone was done in such a way that it did not seem as if he was using the old pick up line as such.
When she turned to look at him he smiled again, this time a little wider of a grin then before. “What exactly have you been Sensible about for three weeks anyway?” he ask her suddenly finding himself curious of who this girl really was.

Alyssa giggled. "A saint hey? I haven't been one of those since i was 16... i think a go me is in order!" She joked. It was kinda of true aswell. The point where her life was turned upside down was the point where she'd stopped playing by the rules.
Alyssa lifted her beer in one hand and pointed the thumb of the other behind her to the dance floor. "Simple answer to your cliché... beer plus dancing equals smiley Alyssa! How bout you?" She said with a cheeky glint in her eye. Although the glint disapaded as he asked what she'd been sensible about. "Well erm...." How did she answer that question without looking like 1) a freak, 2) a whore and 3) a nut job!! "Well me and my room mate have completely refrained from blowing up the microwave!" She shrugged!

Duncan could tell she was a hyper happy girl, at least most of the time. “I bet you have been, but good little girls do not normally come here unless they are trying to walk on the dark side.” he said, knowing from many many years of experiences. When she explained her reasons for being here he had to smile a bit more. It was a typical girl reply, but then again he had come here for the beer, and to watch girls dance so were they that much different then one another, aside from the fact that he was a 1000 year old demon and she was a human girl.
When she hesitated to reply to what she had been sensible about his attention was caught again. “Oh well that’s good, I never got the hang of those things, the food always says something about power levels, but if you pressed the power level button it says it cannot be changed..” he said then gave a slight blush before he took another drink of his beer. “So having fun dancing?” he ask nodding to the dance floor “I did kind of notice you out there, kind of hard to miss.”

Alyssa couldn't help but grin widely as he said about walking on the dark side. "Trust me... I've walked it and i didn't like it much!" She put one finger towards her face, beckoning him in as she moved her body towards him. She put the finger to her lip then as she hushed her voice. "But maybe im still not over keen on being a good girl."
She nodded slightly at his response about the microwave. "Well the setting are hard enough, but lisa actually put the whole tin of beans in the microwave and put it on for 10 minutes!" As he commented about her dancing she went slightly red, eyes averting upwards as she tryed not to grin. "I was having fun! I would be having fun again if maybe..... would you like to join me?"

Duncan noticed the grin, and how much she tried to hide it. He could tell she like all people liked to dabble in their dark side, the evil was seductive, he knew first had how seductive. As she beckoned him in he leaned in to hear her hushed voice, even though he could hear her just fine had he wanted to. “That’s not always a bad thing either.” he whispered back to her as he pulled back a little.
He laughed a little when she mentioned a girl named Lisa putting the tin in the microwave. “Oh that’s not good.” he said remembering the first time he had done that himself, it was back when they had first come out in the fifties and he hadn’t known all the rules. When she went red he smirked a little more, getting the feeling she enjoyed flirting with what could be danger. “Maybe I would very much like to join you.” he said still smiling.

Oh god, Alyssa flirting..... it had been such a very very very long time since she'd done such a thing. She was telling the trust about her brief flirt with the darkside. After her little 'wedding' and Jayden... she'd felt evil, had it rushing through her viens but her friends had always been more important than it! No matter how seductive it was.
This guy has one adorable smile. Alyssa slid off her seat to her feet, holding out her hand for this guy. "I did you a favor and dropped the maybe.... come on!" She said, waiting for him to take her hand to lead him to the dancefloor.

Duncan smiled at her for a moment, he was trying to read her. He could tell she had a taste of true darkness and now he wanted to know more about her then he had. He nodded his head with a smile as she stood up. She was a flirtatious girl to be sure, but maybe that was not bad in this case.
He took her hand and stood up from the stool he had been sitting on. He let her lead him out onto the dance floor. He took his time with each step to watch her moves, studying her. He had to admit she had a fine dancer’s body. “Alright, but you do know the man is suppose to lead.” he said to her in a whisper as he leaned in close to her, so no one could hear them.
