Micky sat cross-legged on the ground, her body just a few feet from the water. It wasn't like she had to worry about that demon anymore, since her and Kitty had killed it not too long ago. Of course most people wouldn't notice. To them the demon was just some myth, an urban legend that had no semblance of the truth in it. They were wrong of course, but that didn't really matter anymore, not that it was dead.
Normally she would were her sweatshirt, but today it was too humid out for such. Instead she wore a simple black Die Mannequin tee and a pair of jeans that were slightly ripped from a fight. Most of her clothes were ripped in one way or another, from various fights and encounters. She didn't have the money to keep replacing them, so by now she barely even bothered or noticed.
The water was calm as Micky watched over it, the way the water of a lake should be. It soothed her in some way, which was why she was here. She didn't want to be anywhere else for the moment, because the image before her was comforting, which she needed right now.

Maybe she was just imagining it but Thorn was pretty sure she now had a 'spot' to come to. Annoyed, calm, pissed off or happy the lake seemed to be where she usually ended up. It was one of these very night she met Willow and the whole new episode of drama in her life had begun. But she stayed away from that spot, preferring the stay a little further up from it these days.
It was a surprisingly calm night, Thorn could not remember seeing the lake like this for some time, the crashing water reminded her of a sea more than a lake but either way she did not mind much, usually after a while she would drift off into thought and all background noise was removed. It was a probably sometimes, her inability to stay focused causing her a few injuries in surprise attacks.
At this moment one of those attacks could very well happen and she would be none the wiser until a knife was at her throat or she was about to be dust. Her arms rested behind her head, her eyes closed and her body covered in dark jeans, a green shirt and her usual black jacket. Risking injury was sometimes worth it just to be oblivious to the world for a while.

After a few moments, Micky pushed herself up off the ground and stretched. She should probably head out, get some sleep maybe. She didn’t want to go back to that motel room, but it was really the only place she had to go, for now anyways. Even if Zy had offered her to stay with her, she would have refused. She wouldn’t want to put anyone out. Thinking of this, Micky resolved to talk with Zy, as they hadn’t really talked in a while because of everything that was going on.
She looked around, running her eyes over the edge of the lake and the surrounding woods. As she did so she noticed a figure not too far away from her. She could tell that it was Thorn after focusing her eyes, having trained herself to see better in the darkness, and couldn’t help but shake her head slightly. Aware of her decision, and partially regretting it as soon as she chose, she walked over to where Thorn was.
“I told you that I’d ending up seeing you sooner or later,” she said, making her presence known, well her presence specifically anyways. Thorn would have probably sensed her coming, but seeing as her eyes were currently closed, Micky decided it would be best for her to speak.

Thorn, surprisingly, jumped. Though her senses where infact heightened they did not exactly come in handy when she was in an almost sleep like state. Her eyes shot open and she rolled over, crouched ready to jump on her hands and knees before she realised it was infact Micky who had spoken.
"Sorry....reflexes" she mumbled, straightening as she got to her feet. It was fine having them, if only they did their job and kicked in earlier. She brushed off the back of her jacket and jeans as she stood, getting off the small amount of dirt and dust that still clung to her dark clothing.
Staring across at Micky she only now seemed to realise the awkward ending their last conversation had, even if it had entered her mind quite a lot since that night. She knew however letting it make things awkward a second time would not help so she pushed all thoughts of it aside. "I do need to work on them" she admitted, rubbing the back of her neck and staring across at her sheepishly.

Micky shrugged slightly, figuring that was the only response. “I guess I do to,” she said truthfully. Putting her right arm out she pulled up the sleeve slightly, revealing a bruise on the length of her arm. There was a matching one on her ribs but it was hidden by her shirt. “Got messed up pretty bad about a week back. I was teaming up with a friend to take down the demon in here.” She motioned it out to the lake, purely to emphasize what she was talking about. “We got it done but not without a few bruises.” The demon had simply been faster, not to mention the amount of limbs it had. Even with both her and Kitty fighting it, it was hard to take it down.

Thorn let out a breath as she saw the bruise and shook her head a little. It was defiantly large and quite dark. "I thought the lake seemed calmer, could this demon have had anything to do with that?" she asked, gazing out across the water for a moment before she looked to Micky. So far things were fine, no awkward moments about Micky's revelations last time they had met. "Or am I simply surprised to have such a quite night in a place like Misery? ((sorry I haven't posted))

With a slight shrug, Micky looked out to the water for a brief moment. “It’s probably both,” she said, although still not turning her head back to Thorn. “I’ve never seen the water as calm as this before tonight, and I’m guessing that’s ‘cause of the demon. I didn’t think it was real until the other night, thought it was just some myth, but I guess I was wrong.”
Tearing her eyes away from the water, she turned back to Thorn, having felt somewhat strange talking without actually facing her. She did it often, but each time it felt the same and she had to eventually turn back.
“Then again, I can’t really remember the last time I had a quiet night here.” It always seemed like something was going on, whether it be a vampire, demon, or something worse. She liked the relaxation once in a while.

"It does seem there is always one thing or another happening" Thorn admitted, she walked behind Micky, brushing against her lightly before coming to a hault at her other side and looking out across the water. "It's a welcome change though to see everything so calm for once, I just wonder how long it plans to last" she ran her hand through her hair at the though, pushing it back out of her face because of the slightly breeze that had blown it there.

The change of pace was nice. Quiet nights came so rare the Micky wanted to embrace this one and simply do nothing that involved hunting. Nevertheless, there was still that part within her that would be itching for something to do if nights like this became common. “Hopefully not too long,” she said, turning once again to look at Thorn. “It’s nice, but I just really don’t like not having something to do,” she explained, figuring that her statement would need some sort of explanation.
