The Basics;;
Name: Al Simmons
Nicknames: Spawn, Hellspawn, The One
Age: 37
Birth of Date: 4-13-69
Sex: Male
Sexuality: Straight
Species Demon
Power His demonic symbiotic suit, made entirely of Necroplasm, a substance in which the souls that reside in a certain hell dimension become, makes Spawn weigh over 250kg, and grants him superhuman strength and durability. While he still has internal organs, they are non-functional, and their damage/destruction does not hinder Spawn in the least. These organs re-appear when he magically regenerates his wounds. This may be due to Spawn's inability to let go of his human self, retaining his human organs even though he no longer requires them.
Spawn’s symbiotic suit, known only as K-7 Leetha is a living organism. While Spawn wears it, he holds dominant control over the suit, though his cape, spikes, chains, and skulls are all part of an organism bonded to his central nervous system that will protect Spawn even if he is unconscious. Because Spawn’s body is made of Necroplasm, his suit feeds from it, meaning that excessive use of his unnatural powers could eventually result in his death. It is possible for Spawn to draw this energy back when he needs it, using it to power his abilities without draining his own reserves. The costume can also feed off evil energy from the physical world, feeding off the ambient evil of people, animals (mainly carrion insects, but also wolves and bats) and even certain parts of the city. A part of his physical powers actually comes from his suit, because of its connection to his nervous system, Simmons is able to use it in a shape shifting manner, including the manifestation of spikes, armor plating, or transforming the cape into a battle axe. The cape itself is an effective offensive weapon able to strike in battle with its extreme preciseness, severing limbs, and or disarm enemies.
Spawn has vast magical powers. Spawn has a limited power supply, however. Each time Spawn used his energy, the necroplasm drains. Consequently, Simmons relies primarily on his costume's natural abilities or weapons rather than the magical abilities in combat. Though the power source is finite, Spawn's biggest limitation is imagination. Simmons uses this ability in various ways, including resurrecting the dead, firing blasts of necroplasmic energy, teleportation, shapeshifting, flight, and curing the sick. Though, since his abilities can drain him of much power he seldom uses them unless absolutely necessary.
Spawn is practically immortal unless beheaded by a weapon of light. He is also rendered powerless (and therefore mortal) in a patch of alley known as "The Deadzone": a small patch of Earth that is the forces of good’s domain and in the ethereal realm of the "Greenworld."
Spawn has an ability to "feel" or "sense" misery, pain and hatred as a gift/punishment given to him by The Keeper, an agent of the Emerald Parliament of Greenworld. He is aware, even subconsciously when someone is attacked or murdered because he has gained a further affinity with the creatures of the night and shadows and through them experiences the anguish of all mankind.
Furthermore, Spawn also has a large quantity of souls within him. These are the souls who died within the same hour as he did the day he died, thus there could be roughly around 6,000 souls within him (according to his calculations anyways).
Side Good, however he is more of an anti-hero than anything else.

Dig deeper;
Likes:
- Protecting the innocent
- Slowing down the progress of evil as much as possible, although he is a tool for evil.
- His friends in his home called “Rat City”, an alley in Misery which serves as Spawn’s home and turf.
- Hurting scumbags that are trying to make a name for themselves.
- Not using up his powers.
Dislikes:
- Malebolgia, the Old One that made him what he is now.
- Violator, also known as the Clown. A demonic Lieutenant of Malebolgia that is there to train Spawn and to make sure he stays in line until he is ready to serve in the Malebolgia’s army.
- Scumbags that try to make a name for themselves.
- The fact that Malebolgia tricked Simmons into becoming the Hellspawn and bringing him five years into the future, where his wife is remarried to his best friend and the two of them have a child.
Fears:
- Using up his energy and becoming apart of Malebolgia’s army.
- His ex-wife getting hurt.
Strengths: - The fact that he is already dead and nigh-immortal.
- His military experience from his past life, granting him superb knowledge in strategic situations, and skills in hand to hand combat, and knowledge of locations of advanced military weaponry.
- The faith his friends have in him.
- His necroplasmic suit, which already grants him advanced supernatural powers, including a wide skill of dark magic, super strength and durability.
- His suit goes through a sort of “metamorphoses” in which it can change its form at will.
Weaknesses:
- Due to his body being made of necroplasm, if he uses up all of his magical powers, he could die and return to the Hell dimension he went to, after dying.
- His rage allows evil to manipulate him and make him a puppet to them.
- Because he is so used to killing others, he sometimes kills his human enemies without second though, making him more damned to Hell.
- Since he is now a demonic officer to an army in a Hell Dimension, he is weak against holy weapons. If stabbed by one, he is severely weakened and if decapitated by one, it will kill him.
- His friends and loved ones in this life and his past life.
Personality: Spawn’s personality is an odd mixture. Mostly cold, distant and extremely vengeful, but has shown tendency to be just like any other joe in the alleyway that is his home. However, when others threaten him, or his friends, things get messy and when it comes to Hell, Malebolgia, the Clown, the Government, the Cops and etc. all there is to say is run…as fast as you can. A ticking time bomb, Spawn can explode at any time on anyone.
He despises child abusers and wife beaters and has his own way of dealing with each. Although a supposed agent of evil, he often tries to use his powers for good. Half the time it works, but sometimes it also leads to very dangerous consequences.
Story of my life;;
Family: Wanda Blake [Ex-Wife/Widow], Terry Fitzgerald [Best friend], Cyan [Wanda’s and Terry’s daughter] Grandma Blake [Ex-Great Grandmother-inlaw]
History: Growing up, Al Simmons considered himself an athiest and seldom had faith in much. He found himself in a lot of trouble in and out of life until finding his true calling in the C.I.A. Being a gifted marksman and military official, once saving the president’s life after a botched assassination attempt from a terrorist, Lt. Col. Al Simmons was given a position as on of many C.I.A. agents where he met, fell in love with, and finally married his widow, Wanda Blake.
After a few years of marriage, Al’s relationship with his boss, CIA director, Jason Wynn began to fall out, Wynn had him assassinated. The news reported it as an accident and was thus never mentioned again. Wanda would go on to marry Al’s best friend, Terry Fitzgerald and would be given the one thing, Al could have never given her: A child.
As for Al Simmons, due to his life as a assassin and an athiest, he was sent to a Hell Dimension that was controlled by an Old One known solely as the Malebolgia. Choosing Al from countless other souls, Malebolgia granted him a deal of a lifetime. If he would but become the Hellspawn, he would promise to allow Al to see Wanda again. Without even reading the fineprint, Al agreed and was then sent five years into the future, awakening in a dark alleyway. His body was covered in an odd suit and when he looked at his reflection, his body was horrifically burnt. Unbeknownst to him, his memory was nearly gone, but slowly returning in images, and his wife had remarried to his best friend, who had also given her a child.
Devastated, destroyed and hurt, Al, now known as Spawn, retreated to the alley where he awoke in. The inhabitants, being an accepting bunch, looked past Spawn’s disfigurements and he became their protector, their guardian, all the while plotting revenge against the man who did this to him. However, all changed when the Clown showed up to tell him that his powers were limited and once he used them up, he died.
Now he has two options. Fight the evil in the world, use up his powers and eventually die again, or do nothing and let evil flourish. Either way, his soul will go back to hell in due time. Luckily, Spawn found a loophole and is now using his powers in necessity to fight crime.
Sample Role Play;;
Another night in the alley. Another night to himself. Though Bobby, and Boots were more gracious to have Spawn that anyone else, he still thought it was unnecessary for them to make him a “throne” of sorts. However, he was grateful and would enjoy it. Sitting there, looking at a newspaper that he took from a bench earlier, he began to read through the gist’s of what was going on in his town.
This Just In!
Four more bodies have been found, each with their hearts removed. Some say it is the work of a creature. Whatever it may be, it is not helping the sudden increase of killings that have plagued this town for a while now!
He had to stop reading when the sudden screams of others hit his ears like a bullet. As he made his way through the darkness, he caught the sight of a well-dressed man biting into Bobby’s neck.
“LET HIM GO!!!! Spawn ordered. The man looked up at Spawn. His face somehow disfigured, with yellow eyes and pointed teeth. Dropping Bobby on the ground, the creature lunged at Spawn. Suddenly, his suit reacted. With one of his chains going for a piece of wood on the ground, the chain broke it off and thrusted it into the creature’s chest, piercing its heart while it was in mid air. Just like that, the creature turned to dust. Spawn stepped towards Bobby and looked at him closely.
“You’re going to be okay Bobby…” Spawn spoke, placing his hand on Bobby’s neck and allowing a green glow to touch his friend. Suddenly, the wounds were gone and Bobby was fully healed. Looking up at Spawn, Bobby smiled and said, “Thanks Al. Much appreciated! What was that thing? Shrugging, Al did not respond, but he made a mental note to use wood against anyone with a face like that thing’s again.
