.Coffee Ryan had been in Misery for a few weeks now. This seemed to be where his daddy had met the woman he had been hanging around a lot was this where his daddy’s mistress had lived? He since he has been here has met a dude named Spencer he seemed like a cool dude, but Ryan knew he was a slayer. He researched the dude when he got home from meeting him at the bar. His father has gathered a nice profile composite on the Slayers and Spencer was one of them. So he could identify the slayers. He has been studying up on them. Each and ever last one of them, but there was one Slayer that wouldn’t roll over and stay dead. That just could not due. He had to make a plan take out these slayers, but how? He would have to think long and hard about that.
Getting dressed he placed a nice pair of slacks on, and a tee shirt cleaning himself up and when he thought he looked fairly decent he headed out hoping into his car and heading around town he still had a lot to see not being in town too long and all. It seems nice so far and the occasional bad guy. Was he a bad guy? He did want revenge so perhaps that did make him one. Any how he need a plan or his evilness, a few drinks could help loosen up them brain waves. Yeah, that sounded like a good plan. Ryan drove to the nearest bar in town. Parking his car and turning off the ignition, sliding out he shut the doors, locking it up and shoving his keys in his pockets walking into the bar and having a few beers before heading out again, yes he is odd wandered around town and ended up at starbucks, beer then coffee what and odd combo.
Ordering a coffee he had a seat and looked at the people passing by. It was so odd how people go on about their day like there is nothing wrong in this town with their happy and petty lives. He seen some kids with their parents and it made him boil on the inside sort of envious and jealous of that. It was something he missed and he sort of sometimes wishes he could turn the clocks back and things be different and his family worked out differently maybe then both his parents wouldn’t be dead. He would know all about this weirdo gift he has with moving things and he continues to practice on. Grabbing the paper on the other table he sat there and read it reading about how some girls had been brutally murdered in the park, drained of blood and how they do not know what did it. Ryan rolled his eyes at that, and sipped his coffee the paper seemed to have lots of bad news in it, but that was expected wasn’t it?
The place is called Misery. The name actually suited the place. It made him wonder why these people liked to live in a place such as Misery. Most people looked like such fools so innocent it was funny to him really. He couldn’t help, but chuckle under his breath before going back to reading his paper being really observant of the people around him. He could never be too careful now could he? So far not all the people were to bad, just found it odd some were so naïve to that is going on, but he had to pretend to be one of them naïve people and that slayers and vampires ect doesn’t exist but he now knows he was in mild shock when he read his fathers files, but if he can move things with his mind slayers and vampires didn’t seem as far fetched as it may have sounded. The coffee shop seemed busy, most love their coffee and teas sometimes it made him wonder why people liked tea. How do you know if it is really tea and not pee? Yes he was sick and twisted but it was something to ponder. -Ryan Davis-Thread Stats: Thread; Open to All, the more coffee lovers the better Coffee the Ultimate Addiction. My Word Count: 693

Jonathan sat in the coffee shop. He was up earlier than he was used to and his brain was hazy as all hell. He needed coffee.
Ditching his usual attire of heavy coats, dark shirts and boots, he'd gone for a more laid back choice of light jeans, a simple t-shirt and a fashionably scruffy woolen hat. To be honest, the hat was only to cover his wild hair which he hadn't bothered to sort out since this morning. He took a large slurp of coffee and burnt his tonuge, but he didn't really care. The heat woke him up as much as the coffee itself.
Magic user! 10 O'Clock! His aura reading yelled at him suddenly as Ryan entered the room. Jonathan focused for a closer look.
Eh, he seemed an okay type. There wasn't much chaotic intent that Jonathan could find at any rate... well... there was a little bit of something, but... well, magic users are hard to read, okay?
He was sat reading a paper, although Jonathan could see that he was being weary and keeping an eye on the people around him. Well... maybe the guy was new here, just as Jonathan was?
Jonathan picked up his coffee and wandered over towards Ryan and pulled out a seat next to him.
"Hey buddy," Jonathan said with a light smile, "This seat taken?"

.Coffee
Ryan was still pretty new to Misery so of course he would be weary about people around him he always was it was how he always had been even as a child seeing as he and his mother moved around a lot and who knows what kind of man she would come home in or what kind of state. How long they would be there and when they would be moving. Why when he was in school till he dropped out he was always a bit of a loner. Could anyone blame him really? He was cautious even in a coffee shop. He did know there are slayers about, but they didn’t know him so they couldn’t attack him they couldn’t know he was in search for the sister he has a feeling he has just based on the picture. The little girl looked like her father, his father so she had to be his sister right? She was the reason his life was screwed and he had wanted to do something about that. Ryan had been lost in his thoughts for a moment as someone came over to him, his paper still in his hands as he was watching the people sauntering about on the streets.
Ryan turned his head to face the voice who had asked if the seat had been taken. He was here alone so that was a no, but the man couldn’t have known that could he? “Nope, be my guest.” Ryan said, placing his paper on the table and taking a sip of his very own coffee. He didn’t know anything about the man before him so of course he would still be cautious. Ryan had only met a few people in this town. The few drinks before this were really to easy up his paranoia and of people. He wasn’t always the friendliest male, but he was trying to fit in so that is what he had to do to fit in and find this sister of his. It is possible she isn’t even in this town, but he had to find out.“ I am Ryan and you are?” Ryan asked introducing himself to the lad that looked to be about his age give or take a few years difference.

"Jonathan." Jonathan replied, taking a long sip of coffee, holding the cup in two hands and just tilting it slightly to drink.
He could get a better feel for Ryan now that he was closer to him. There was the lust of revenge seeping out of him, so strong that Jonathan could almost see it.
This place seems to attract people with a vendetta... Jonathan mused. A small thought began to form in the back of his mind and he tucked it away for later.
"Have you lived in Misery for long? I only got here a few days ago."Jonathan set his coffee down to stretch for a moment before scooping it up again. "I was kinda surprised to find a half decent coffee shop if I'm honest - everywhere else I've been these sorts of places seem to serve warm fecal matter as far as I can tell..."

.Coffee
Ryan hadn’t known many in town so he may a well play nice eh? At least for now, some friends could be good, but he was used to being a loner and didn’t trust to easily. Could you blame him? He had to learn a lot of stuff about the world on his own with his daddy off with his mistress and his mother always drunk or drugged up. It wasn’t the way for anyone to live, but hell he had to and made it work. So perhaps it only made him stronger or did it just make him more cruel hearted the most?
Ryan continued to be weary of those around him, but stayed calm as if well nothing bothered him and perhaps he wanted to see if he could catch a glimpse of his half sister she had to be around here she just had to he could feel it. “Pleasure to meet you Jonathan.” Ryan had stated with a small nod towards the man. He had recently gone to go get some more of his father’s belongings after they put him to rest and all. Both his parents now dead and gone no longer around to mess up his life, now he just had to find the others who messed it up and he will be golden and square and he can start on other plans.
He had perked his head to Jonathan’s Question about being in town long. “I am pretty new here myself. I have only settled in a few weeks ago. I am kind of looking for someone.” Ryan had said being honest about that. “My father spent a lot of time around I think I may have a half sister. So I am checking about these parts to find out it is a shot in the dark, but worth a shot. He rambled on. As for the coffee comment.
“I haven’t tried any coffee any other places around here usually tend to stick to the franchise brands that way I know what I get instead of drinking nauseating stuff like you had said you had been finding.” It was true he didn’t like that kind of stuff he will sometimes tend to ask what brand of coffee is sold at diners and all before ordering he loves coffee so he tends to be rather picky and grouchy about what he drinks. “ What brings you to this town? Know of anything fun to do around here?” Ryan didn’t think it hurt to ask.

Jonathan's internal giger counter went off when Ryan mentioned his sister. Just a small flicker, a tiny fluctuation, but it was noticeable. So that's what the little something he had felt earlier about was, that's where the lust for revenge was coming from... Ryan was telling the truth when he said he was looking for his sister but there was a definite hint of malintent there. A streak of vengeance. That meant he was either lying when he said he hadn't met her before, or he had some serious family issues.
You're one to talk. He thought to himself. Jonathan had been taken away from his abusive drug addict mother when he was barely a toddler and, eventually, adopted by a brutal trainer named Burme. The two had split on bad terms, even though Burme was the closest Jonathan was ever likely to have to a father figure.
"Oh really?" Jonathan said, "Well, do you have a name or a picture or anything? It'd be tough to find anyone otherwise." Jonathan thought for a moment, trying to remember if he'd picked up any similar auras - sometimes you could tell relations, but you had to focus hard. A Half relation would need a real going over. No, Jonathan could have walked past the both of them a hundred times everyday for a hundred years and even he wouldn't be able to tell just from a cursory sighting.
He tuned back in to full attention when Ryan asked Jonathan what had brought him to Misery.
"Me? Well... to be honest, I needed a change of scenery, you know? A fresh start. Can't say I've come across a great amount to do here so far. Some of the bars downtown have interesting people in them. Jonathan said, remembering meeting a beat up Slayer in one of them. "Some of the roofs around here are great for free-running if you're into that sort of thing. You look like you've got decent upper body strength, as long as your sense of balance isn't shot to bits you'd probably be quite good at it." Again, this technically wasn't untrue, Jonathan did free run across the rooftops, although he didn't do it for free running's sake as much as he did just to get around and spot nasties.
"To be honest, I'd really like to find a decent car crew, or tuners club at least. I've seen some of the local kids shooting around in crappy hot hatches and stuff but I wouldn't be seen dead parking my car with those losers." Jonathan looked at his coffee and was happy to see there was more left that he'd guessed.
"How about you? Found anything worthwhile? I guess you've been mostly focused on your sister..."

.Coffee
Jonathan had asked if he had a picture on him of the girl who is supposed to be his sister. He shook his head. “ No, not on me. I figured I would know her when I see her If she is in fact here. She looks a lot like our father according to the baby picture I had found. It is at my apartment thought.” He didn’t carry the picture on him he really did think he would know her when he sees her if she is even around. If he did find someone that looked similar he could always ask if the man is her father thought who knows if she would tell a random stranger the truth.
Ryan had been courteous and asked the man what brought him to this town and he couldn’t blame the dude for wanting a change of scenery everyone wants that every now and again and it is always good to see other places or so he is told, but when life sucks and you travel a lot like he had you can sometimes get sick of all the new faces and being on your toes. “I hear you sometimes a fresh start is good. Meeting new people sometimes can be a good idea, leave the old friends and family behind and forget things that aren’t so peachy.” If the man even had things to forget some people do it just for the hell of it.
He did like some of the bars around here he did meet a good guy Spencer at one who had seemed nice, and cool and it was good to meet some nice people it wasn’t really the type Ryan usually meets. He tended to get in with the wrong crowds at time. Ryan wasn’t sure about free running it wasn’t his thing, but he was in shape he did know that... He liked to keep fit and does work out in his own apartment and all. “I have never tried free running on roof tops, and I would think I have a good balance. I wouldn’t mind finding a good gym around here. I have yet to check any out.” He hadn’t explored too much yet.
Ryan listened to him talk about a car club. Ryan was good at working at cars he wouldn’t mind finding a decent garage to work at around here. He is currently looking for a job around here maybe he will find one. “I know exactly how you feel. Why I have my car looked up good where ever I leave it.” Yes he surely does, has it alarmed and steering wheel locked. He wasn’t leaving his baby around open for the general public. Ick he could just imagine a couple hoping in taking it for a joy ride and having sex in it. Oh now that wouldn’t fly. Taking as sip of his coffee he listened to the man’s question.
“Yeah, that has been my main focus and trying to find a decent place to work around here. Everything is still rather new to me around here. So basically just looking about getting the feel for the town and settle in.” If he found someone that knew the town a bit maybe he could find a good place to work and if there is anything fun around here. He was sure they both would find what they are looking for one day. “ Maybe once things settle in for the both of us maybe this place will seem like a decent place to hang. Surely seems to be some fine ladies lingering about this town.” which was the truth. He did know some of them are slayers thought.

Jonathan struck a thoughtful pose as he listened to Ryan talk about his possible sister.
"Well, hey man, if you have a first name and know the second name of her mother and father, give 'em both a go and you never know, a simple directory search might turn up something." He suggested, taking down some more coffee.
He visibly brightened at the mention of another car lover. Jonathan spent hours tinkering with engines and the like - he loved it. Generally he had one car that he actually used and at least two that he had just to see what kind of crazy stuff he could do to them.
"Amen bro." Jonathan agreed when Ryan mentioned keeping his car locked up. "If someone gave me the choice of a million bucks or the perfect drive I'm afraid to say the drive would probably win. What you driving at the moment?"
He also had to smirk at his comment about the women here in Misery.
"Yeah, there's some nice girls round here... met a lovely called Ellie not so long ago. Irish and... hungry. If you catch my drift." Jonathan said. Not entirely untrue, as Ellie was a Vampire and any intimate encounter they did have was of the 'fight for your life' kind. Still...

.Coffee Ryan listened to the words of the man in front of him Jonathan and that was an idea. He would just have to go threw more of his daddy stuff to find that. Ryan hasn’t been threw it all just yet, just some of it especially them files on those slayers. “ That’s a good Idea, thanks man.” Ryan told him he was really impressed by the man thoughtfulness and advice on the apparent situation. Ryan planned for revenge on this sister, but would he go threw it once he finds her is the 100 dollar question. His heart maybe blacked with hatred for the girl he didn’t know, but would it melt once he finds her. He really does hope he can find her and knows her on site. It would be scarring if he slept with her and then find out this chick is his sister.
Jonathan also seemed to like him some cars. What fella doesn’t like cars? They have to be a real nerd if they would rather tinker with computers then a red hot fast mind blowing machine with lots of horse power. Oh how he loved his car and racing could be fun at times, but what could he say he is a lil grease monkey. Besides he would rather fix up his baby then to have someone else tinker with it and screw her up. He knew all the right ways to make her purr and didn’t trust her with just anyone. Jonathan asked him what he is currently driving. “2008 Dodge Charger SRT8” Ryan his fellow car lover. “ Black.” He had said after sipping his coffee. “You?” He asked seeing as the man seemed to love the perfect ride. He too loved him a nice fast car and one he could work on.
Ryan had mentioned the hot girls in this town so coming there wasn’t a waste now was it? Jonathan had seemed to think the same thing a smirk graced his lips and Ryan caught that and listened to him. “ Your kind of girl?” Ryan asked. “ Pretty name.” Ryan was one that hooked up and for the most time lost them he wasn’t too committed but maybe one day he will. Could this be the town this happens in? He didn’t think so, but who can really tell? “ I have met a few nice girls here so far.” They both were bound to meet lots of girls in this town. He knows there are lots of girls about in this town and he know that he has lots of files on these slayer girls there are over 200 of them so this town was sure to be interesting.

Jonathan's face slowly crept into a grin as the car talk continued. For some reason, and Jonathan didn't do this intentionally on any level, his grins always came out just a little on the sinister side. Not like he was simply enjoying something, but like he was eating it up and relishing it. Most of the time he honestly had no idea he was doing it.
"Got myself a Corvette ZR1." he replied, "Couple of little tweaks and additions and I'm pushing for 750 horse power. Gotta be a bit careful if I wanna do anymore or I'll get chassis trouble at the top end."
Not to mention I'll wheel-spin all the way up to 100mph and then my tyres will explode... Jonathan sullenly thought to himself.
"The only thing is, it's a two-seater, but the way I see it, if I take two girls home one night, then one of them can sit on my lap." Jonathan said with a small laugh.
He had to stifle a laugh when Ryan asked if Ellie was his kind of girl. She'd been fun to wind up for an evening, but if Jonathan ran into her again... well, they'd see.
"Let's just say... she was kind of different." Jonathan eventually replied. He finished his coffee and stood up.
"Well, it's been cool meeting you dude." Jonathan said. He handed Ryan a small white card with a simple 'JL' on the front and a mobile number. "drop me a line sometime, we'll check out some bars or something."
