"When I say overdue, I mean overdue!!!"
He slammed his fist into the punching bag, followed by another, hopping from one foot to the other in classic boxing stance, delivering a series of punches to the bag.
"No, I CANNOT waive your fees. YOU NEVER TURNED IN THE DAMNED BOOK!!!"
Another series of rough punches, followed with a right hook that sent the bag swinging precariously to the left, only to be met with an upward kick from his left leg. The shift in momentum only brought it back down towards the middle again, and Maximillion scowled.
Turning away, he wiped his face with a towel he had draped around his shoulders and walked up a few steps towards a high-standing place where he could watch a few of the other people training here.
Truth be known, this wasn't even his place to train. His job was to work as an informant, and researcher when bad things went down. However, of late, he had been finding the punching bags a handy outlet for his anger at tardy book returners, and truant fee-payers.
"If only it was acceptable to give people who turned in books past overdue a black eye, you know? I mean, they have NO consideration to the other people who want to read these books!"
He stopped talking to himself as he noticed two girls entering the facility, and each taking their own respective positions once there. Quirking a brow, Maximillion placed his hands against the railing on his perch several feet up, and several yards away from the action, watching as the women assumed their respective routines.
"Newbies, huh? Well, I guess they aren't new just because I haven't seen them before. Wouldn't be the first time someone's kept me out of the loop."
