The park wasn't the biggest place in the world, but the biggest for a concert in Misery. And so it was set up. The stage was big, huge even. There were lights everywhere and bodyguards and security. The whole nine. It promised to be a fantastic show. And why was it being hosted in Misery of all places?
Because. It had been picked by a charity that had been started and funded by Tawny since she got into show business. Every once in a while, she would spend the money to bring a concert to a town that should have it.
But why did Misery qualify?
Honestly?
It didn't.
And Tawny herself, didn't know why she had chosen it. But the nightmares were becoming more and more intense. So it made no sense as to why she'd have picked this place. But she did. And here they were. The show had to go on...Nightmares or no. And it would. Such had been promised to those who attended, free of charge, but asked to make a donation towards the next concert.
Sure, not a really...Good cause. But it was. In a way. And to be honest, Tawny had wished things like this when she had gone to her first concerts and watched the band go across the stage, or the singers offering their livelyhood into the mics.
And for those that actually wanted to spend a few, there was backstage passes, of which the money would be given back into the town as funds for schools, new sports and other little things that benefitted everybody.
From the entrance, one could walk past the refreshment stands (Located at the back.), through the trees and into a clearing with the audience area before them, and the stage looming in the distance after that. (I'm hoping it's a big park that can hold at least a couple thousand people.) Sure those in the trees wouldn't see much. But it was more for the party than the concert anyway.
It was still professionally done though. Even though there was alcohol, you still needed ID. There was no drugs allowed, but even that wasn't really enforced that much. After all, how could they catch everyone who did?
--------------6pm--------------------------
As the area was finally ready to begin, the gates opened, and the first of the corwd would come in to fresh wares and sustenance, along with a few warm-up bands before the 'star' of the show made a performance. (Feel free to choose about...two bands? First come first serve on that one though.) The doors opened roughtly an hour before anything would begin.
------------------------------------------ (Feel free to add NPC's if you want. Don't matter to me if it's a security guard, bodyguard, crowd, vendors. Whatevs.)
Tawny was sitting in her trailer though, alone and butterflies crawling in her stomach. They always did. But something felt off tonight. She didn't quite know either.
The hell is wrong with me? Who is this woman? Why are there ...these...Monsters trying to devour me? Thoughts ran through Tawny's mind as the night would wear on, and people would come and go. She had to steel herself though. First came the concert, then the backstage passes and...then...Well, she didn't rightly know.
But she knew it'd happen tonight. Couldn't say for sure. But it felt...That way.
Unfortunately, Rachel couldn't be there to help out. Or any of her family. She had a life, and so did they. Sometimes...Those roads were miles apart. And right now, she was really...That grown up girl. 'course, it'd be all better by the time people were around. Tawny fed off the energy of the crowd, and enjoyed the attention of fans. Their excitement turned Tawny into this..wacky person that felt hyper and fun and entertaining.
Moving to the sink, she ran the water and splashed some old water on her face. Makeup be damned. She needed the refresher. They'd re-apply it anyway. Shaking the cold water off in a shudder, Tawny stared into the mirror for long moments. She saw herself in the mirror...Yet not. The woman in her dreams was there for an instant, flashing at her face. Tawny fell on her behind from startled-ness more than anything. But whens he got back up, she was the only thing to be seen.
Reassuring herself it was only a bad dream, she got to the 'wardrobe'.
Let's get this party started!
