The leaves on the trees rustled in the light breeze and Lisa kicked a stone that was in front of her as she walked. Her head was down and the hood of her hoodie was over it, some of her hair hanging out the other down her back tickling it slightly as she dragged her feet along the ground. Sunset would be looming over the park soon and the creatures of the night would come out to play, praying on the weak for their next meal. She stopped at the swings and looked at the few children that wear still playing on the park they where gathered at the roundabout idly talking about whatever the hell it was kids talked about.
Not too long after Lisa had took a seat upon the nearest swing had the children left probably to get safely home to their parents before darkness swept over the town. Lisa was a fan of night time it was when the children where tucked up in there beds and adults could come out to party. Swinging on the swing slightly Lisa looked up towards the direction of her apartment, she hadn’t been home last night and tonight she wouldn’t get there till late when everyone else would be asleep. The council had her constantly busy, always working and having to deal with the slayers. Since the return of Buffy things had seemed to have gotten out of hand and slayers where confused of who they should chose to believe leading them to either stick by Lisa and get killed or turn against her and try to kill her.
She took her phone out of her pocket and flipped it up there were a few missed calls and a text message from Alyssa and she sighed slightly as she read it before texting back. She hadn’t seen her best friend in what felt like ages but she had her duties to perform and Alyssa understood and stood back as Lisa did so making her feel very grateful to have her. Looking at the time Lisa put the phone back in her pocket the sun was slowly setting and the sky had turned an orangey red colour, she stopped swinging on the swing and jumped off it sliding slightly and losing her balance she landed on the floor "Trust me! Oh god I hope no one saw" she thought as she lifted herself up into a sitting position.

Kicking around the old can of cold around the street Wyatt tucked his hands into his black jeans as his head was slung low watching his feet as he moved. A million thoughts running through his head as he walked. The sound of the metal can echoing down the street. Darkness had now fallen taking the place of the sun making the town fall in utter darkness. In a sense when night falls it was like unlocking every door in a prison. Then when lights comes there all locked again. Unsafe.
As unsafe as the night was. It was more then likely the safest place to be. Yes there are millions of demons out at night but there was more spaces to hide. Although the light may feel like your safer your not. Its just a sheet of ignorance that fills the gaps in peoples minds. Making them think they are safe when in fact there at there most exposed.
He didn’t care. To be honest he was cocky. He wanted fights. Maybe that was why he always stayed in the dark. Waiting for his next match.

Lisa looked around thankfully there was no one who would have seen her fall to the ground, she hadn’t much energy so just stay sat there thinking as darkness filled the park. A scream brought her back to reality; Lisa got herself up and ran in the direction and out of the park onto the street to find a giggling girl been chased around by her boyfriend. She rolled her eyes as the girl ran into his arms and kissed him and headed down the street. Things seemed quiet lately the main trouble for the council was Buffy at this point in time but usually when the other demons and vampires went quiet it meant that something much bigger and badder was on its way.
Tripping over the curb as she went along Lisa sighed what was it with her and the clumsiness today? All shed done was fall over, walk into things and drop things. She just wasn’t with it and she felt so tired with not getting much sleep at all, not realising where she was going she bumped into something and looked up into the eyes of the person shed walked into. "Waytt?" she asked looking up at him thinking that she was going crazy.

There was a girl and her boyfriend playing around near the park chasing each other having fun so unaware of the dangers. It wasn't his place to warn them about it. Heck they wouldn't even listen if he did. They would more then likely just laugh at him telling him he was dreaming. They where wrong.
He felt like screaming. It was just a sudden urge. He didn't know where it had come from. It was just there. Pushing him to do it. To just scream. Get it over with do it. Scream. He knew if he did that then there would be a whole town of shattered glasses and ears.
He hadn't learned to control his gift yet. He wanted to be able to pin point certain ears. Like dogs ears or human ears. Maybe if he did learn to do that then he would pin point demon ears when they attacked. But hew as beyond not good enough for that yet.
He turned. His name was being called. He looked around the street looking or the person who called his name. The red tint of the now set sun was fadeing and the lights of the street lamps where burning bright. He saw her.
He hadn't seen her in years. He lied to her. Told her he was older then he was. That he loved her. Well he did love her. Sure but not like she thought. He stopped seeing her. Just cut his self off. There was lots of reason why. Now she was here? Of all places. Here? Why!
Lisa" He said shocked.

Lisa looked up at the guy who had broke her heart not so many years ago and all the memories and feelings came rushing back, here he was right in front of her and she had no idea what to say, now she was wishing she never even said his name and continued walking down the street. He looked the same and Lisa even remembered what he looked like without the clothes, he was the best shed had after all. After what felt like ages she broke the silence. "You never called."
She laughed to herself after shed said it, it was ages ago but Lisa still remembered how he said he would call and how she had waited by her phone each day praying for it to ring. She felt stupid now for letting herself get so into him.

So many memory's came flushing back to him in that one moment. Her voice sounded so familiar, so grounded. It made him thinking about everything before he changed. Before he came brittle and bitter. The days when he felt warm around her. She was right he never did call her. He just left, but she has to understand there was alto of things going on there with him then.
Well there still are but now he is more focused. Now he knows what he is doing. Now he knows what he has to do. Its been more then 3 years since they last met. After there night. The night he thought he had been waiting for all his life. But it wasn't really. In fact it made him think more. About him.
How could he tell her? How could he tell her that she made him realize? He couldn't. Wouldn't it have hurt her? So he had to leave cut him self of from her. Make him out to be the bad guy.
"In a matter of fact i was just about to call you" He said with a coy smile.

As he said this Lisa’s expressionless look turned into a small grin, he still had that charm, the one that brought her to fall for him in the first place. She shook off the smile thinking she must be stupid for even thinking about it. "Oh really… I don’t see you holding a phone" she stated tilting her head a little and giving him the same coy smile "Better still Wyatt, what’s my number?" she asked raising an eyebrow knowing he wouldn’t have the answer.
After putting Wyatt on the spot Lisa decided to change the subject "So what brings Wyatt to Misery?" she asked inquisitively, it was strange seeing somebody that Lisa had met outside of Misery in the very same town that she was now living in. It brought back memories that Lisa hadn’t thought about in a while such as the life she had before she became a slayer.

Lisa was still the spunky girl he once knew. She had not lost that. She had changed however. Now she was sporting a long streak of red in her hair, her figure looked more defined and she looked hardened some how. Like she had to grow up way to fast.
She asked what he was doing here? Truth was he didn’t he just got on the first bus that came to town and waited till the last stop. Which was here. All he had was his backpack that was slung behind his back. Everything he owned was in there. Which wasn’t much.
“Herd good things about this town” He said, really the good things he herd was that there was slayers here. Boy how he wanted nothing more then to fight and kick there butts. He hated them. Thinking there better then humans, that they are the next link in the human evolution. That they can play god. They are wrong. There nothing more then monsters in his mind. He herd they had demon inside them. That that is what makes them so strong, so fast and well them. So doesn’t that make them monsters.
He never did know what happened to Lisa. He did here once that she went to LA, but she couldn’t have that place is crawling with demons, with monsters and slayers. The wind picked up a little blowing Lisa hair into her face. Wyatt moved his hand over pulling it back and behind her ear. He had forgotten how beautiful she looked in the night light. Memories of there past grew again.

Lisa smiled as Wyatt pushed the hair back behind her ear; his touch was as soft as she had remembered it and it made her shiver slightly. She hadn’t felt that in a long time and it was a little scary. "Whoever told you good things about this town was lying" it was true this town had caused her nothing but pain and misery. It really did live up to its name! Looking at Wyatt he hadn’t changed except for the twinkle he used to have in his eye seemed to no longer be there.
Noticing shed been looking into his eyes for too long Lisa quickly moved her glance from him to the floor. "So….." she said not really knowing what else to say, after all it was her that had asked the questions so far and now she didn’t really know what to say although she did want to ask why he left and never called but she knew she wouldn’t get a serious answer straight away.
"Ok this is awkward" she said finally, shed always felt comfortable around him but that seemed to have vanished when he did.
