He stood above the club on the rooftop, waiting until they got out, in case they were foolish enough to try and stage an ambush in preparation of one.
The girl came out first and perched atop a nearby lamppost. She wasn't in the right place to see him, but he smiled nonetheless. So his accomplice was a Metahuman as well, as he referred to humans who just weren't quite human.
As young Maxi stepped outside, Maximillion stepped into the barely shadowed region near one of the panels on the roof, and stepped out of the shadows beside Maxi in the same split second. As he emerged, his hands went to his pockets, smiling as he regarded the man, pretending he hadn't noticed the girl up top.
"Where did your lady friend go?" He asked, feigning suspicion as he darted his eyes this way and that, as if looking for her. "Well, as long as you don't have anything of a suspicious nature planned. I came here to tell you.... they're after you again."
Giving the news time to sit in the man's head, he pulled out a cigarette and put it to his lips, lighting it with the other hand. After taking a deep drag, he turned to Maxi with a scowl.
"For the longest time, they were hunting after me. When I found out that there was someone with a similar name prowling about the Hellmouth, I gave them the slip, letting them think it was YOU I was masquerading about as. As much of a crash as I know landing this on you is, the only reason they came after you was because all traces of me disappeared the moment you appeared on the scene, as I worked it out to be."
He thought back to the tragedies of the place they hadn't yet realized was a test facility, where experiments had been going on. In fact, this man probably thought himself the sole survivor. Was it safe to tell the man he was there? For now, he wouldn't divulge THAT much. Yet.
"I came to you because I wanted peace of mind. I had been safe in my own little comfort zone the entire time you were being pursued, and hadn't thought twice about it until a few years back when I had an...encounter, of sorts, that had me thinking about my past. I realized I *HAD* to tell you. Not doing so would only leave you susceptable when they came. "
Taking another drag, he turned his eyes to the other man coolly, as if he had all the time in the world, and was having mere chitchat.
"There's a whole hoarde of demons that are going to be trying to tag-team stomp you into the ground, and you should brace yourself for when it happens."

Max looked at the man then looked at the ground. He then looked up t the sky. He noticed the moon and how full it was...
You know while I was training in a dimension. The moon there never sets. It just sits in the sky. It's never night there, it just goes from evening to night. I like that, it's peaceful there I want to go back someday.
Max usually rambles on and on about nothing while he's coming up with a plan. He then looks at Buri. he felt bad knowing something was going on. She would here it and she would probably want to help him by getting involved. Then he looked at the man...
Big deal I guess you gotta help me fight these clowns. I mean since you sent them my way. It's only right wouldn't you agree?
Max didnt trust this guy. For all he knew this guy was working with the government or hell he could be planning to ambush him right now...

Buri smiled at Max saying she had changed. He had not changed much, but Buri was glad about that. It was nice to have someone to count on when her world was falling apart. Falling apart? You’re the one who destroyed it! The voice echoed in Buri’s mind. The voice had not talked to her in a while, Buri was not looking forward to being nagged by it all the time again. Just then Buri recognized the headache that came before a vision. All she could do before the vision came, was cuss. Then a blinding pain filled her head and she felt herself falling.
A girl, she looked to be about twelve, maybe younger. She had a knife. Her hands were bleeding. Her younger sister cowered in corner of the room. The first girl was standing at an alter. It looked like she was performing a sacrifice.
Buri’s eyes momentarily flashed open. She could see her own blood on the concrete ground. The vision then continued. Buri watched the gruesome sacrifice of the younger girl and then the death of the older girl from performing the rite wrong. Buri let out a muffled cry as she tried to sit up. The vision was over. It was not to late though. It would happen tomorrow at 9:53. Buri pushed her bloody hair out of her face and looked up at Max, fighting back tears that were a combination of sadness and pain.
“Max, we have to save them. They are only children. They didn’t know any better. Max, you didn’t see it. They don’t deserve to die.” Buri said, forgetting she had never told Max about her visions. She hardly noticed the blood seeping from the crack in her head.

"Big deal I guess you gotta help me fight these clowns. I mean since you sent them my way. It's only right wouldn't you agree? "
Maximillion looked away with a sigh.
"I've tried to keep as far below the radar as possible these past few years, but it looks like I have no choice. If and when you need assistance, just let me know. I'll help, though I can't really promise how much help someone such as myself would be."
He ran a hand through his long, black hair and chuckled, dropping the half-smoked cigarette to the ground and grinding it under the toe of his boot.
"Looks like things are heating up at the Hellmouth again. History's repeating itself.."
