Club Downfall one of the busiest and most popular club amongst the demons. The waitress wear the skimpiest outfits and yes they are vamps. The bartender an Ashura demon (Do your homework people!). The light was dim and the box was playing "Virgin State of Mind". As everyone talked and shot pull... Max walked in wearing a black and white leather jacket. His pants were black with white designs and his shoes were black. When he walked in everyone looked then turned their heads. They knew he was the man amongst the demons and they respected him. He then sat in his usual spot in the back. The waitress came and gave him a bloody Mary, she knew his regular... Thanks Jess. It's been a while Maxy! Where have you been? said the waitress... Been gone for a while had to put things into their proper perspective. She smiled and walked away and Max slouched down in the seat as the music played...

Buri’s long brown hair was pulled back into a messy makeshift ponytail. She was a wearing black cargo pants and a white wife beater. The shirt showed off her strong arms, you could also see the scar on one of them. She had fingerless gloves on her hands. None of this had been purchased. Buri found steeling far much easier then buying things.
Buri’s combat booted feet hit the ground one after another as she walked down the dark streets. No smart person would dare mess with her. There were dumb people out there though, and there was vampires. Vampires. Everyone loved killing them. It seemed like they kept getting dumber and dumber but no matter how many you killed there always seemed to be more to kill. Buri was passing the downfall and had no intention of going in when she heard a voice say ‘It's been a while Maxy! Where have you been?’. Buri couldn’t help but look through the open door. There Max sat Buri smiled. In a few moments she was sitting next to him.
“Yeah, Maxy, you never call. You just up and vanish.” Buri teased playfully.
She was just kidding and she was fairly certain Max knew that. Buri looked around the bar. There were a lot of not so pretty demons and a few humans. Sometimes she wondered what she had been thinking. Buri was not against demons, she just enjoyed killing them, sometimes that got them not to like you.
“So how have you been?”

Max smiled as he looked at Buri. He hadn't seen her since she randomly showed up at his door step. He noticed her army ready apparel and he just had to ask...
"Hey Ms. Merchant, I didn't know you re-enlisted"
He then laughed and signaled he waitress to bring Buri a drink. She sat the drink down and walked away. Max looked at Buri's eyes he always liked the color of her eyes...
"So you did you get everything all settled that you had to when you came by that night?"

His searching had gone on for far too long, and he was finally in the right place to spot the one who'd been his ticket to obscurity little over a year ago. After all the tracking spells, and all the spies he had sent, he actually happened upon the man his first time visiting a Club in years.
The man was sitting at a table by the counter with a woman across from him, presumably what kids called a "F.W.B." nowadays, no doubt. He had dressed the part, and was wearing the kind of outfit one would easily mistake him for a Waiter here wearing, albeit the sunglasses. Still, in places like this, that wasn't too unusual.
"Sir? There's someone looking to speak with you outside. I can hold your spot here, if you would like?"

He looked over at Buri then at the waiter... "Do you know who I am? If this mystery person wants an audience with me then they need to approach me accordingly. Now get lost." Max looked at Buri then laughed. He didn't have any idea who wanted to speak with him he really didn't care. He had just got back into town how did anyone even know he was back he thought to himself...

Maximillion smoothed his facial features over, and nodded to the man, turning and heading back towards the bar. With a look this way and that, he waited until two people crisscrossed in front of him to get to other parts of the club to snap his fingers. There was what might've appeared to anyone watching a trick of the light, and he was back in his usual garb.
"He's an overnight demon, like Anya..." He muttered under his breath, shuddering as he thought about his last run-in with the Vengeance Demon little over a century ago. Still, Anya had learned very quick about the powers of her position and had given him more than a run for his money. But this one, the other 'Max', was very young, even for an 'Overnight Demon'. He couldn't pick up o the fact that Maximillion himself was, too, a Demon...though by origination, not Transferrance. "..oh well. I'll just have to make it clear where we stand, yes?"
He turned back around and moved through the crowd, his eyes picking out everyone and everything, the sunglasses carefully hiding his brighter-than-normal yellow-gold (marigold?) eyes.
As he arrived back at the table, he bent down and whispered into the man's ear...
"You want answers, and I want peace of mind. If you think we can both get what we're looking for, tell me now. Otherwise, I will have no guilt on my conscience when they come for you, since I tried to warn you.."
He smiles and regards the woman next to him warmly enough, with a nod and a smile.
"Hey there! My friend Max and I haven't had the chance to catch up for awhile, and wow! I am so glad I met him here tonight. As I was just telling him, there are a lot of folks who've been missing him since he was last here. He's a neat guy, huh?"
He was smooth about it, very casual. And yet, there was an undertone that was there just for the benefit of "Maxy" and him alone. It was a mostly dark club, and there were at least five other demons there now who were either minding their own business, or there on official business. Still, if either of them were brought into open attention, it could get messy.
But hey! What is life's worth if you can't mix it up a little?

Buri smiled when Max asked if she had re-enlisted. She found it funny because not only had she not but she had been enlisted in something she didn’t have a choice in. She would tell Max about the visions eventually but it didn’t seem like that good of a conversation starter. “Hey, how you doin’, the PtB may have forced me to change sides with mind cracking migraines that come with pictures and no popcorn.” Yeah, great conversation starter.
“Nope, I’m still wandering around and spending nights in old warehouses. I don’t mind though. It makes it easier to run from the cops. You would be surprised how big a deal they make about ‘shoplifting’.” Buri said the last part with a scoff.
Buri hardly noticed the waiter come and go, once she had looked up he was gone, after all he had only talked to Max. Buri’s face showed no sign of happiness at this new man who had also regarded her. Her hand immediately flew to her hip were both her gun and dagger rested. Buri glared at him as he whispered in Max’s ear. Years of army training had taught her to be cautious of certain kinds of people, this man was one of them.
“I don’t care if you are the queen of Sheba it is rude to interrupt people when having a conversation that you are clearly not a part of.” Buri said irritatedly.

Max laughed as Buri made that last remark. He never knew she had a sense of humor. All he could remember about her was that she was a always scared and timid. He didn't see why she joined the army at all. He could tell they had both went through some changes. She had saw his at the Sunnydale whole. He was curious about hers...
I know what you mean, I hate people who ruin good convo...
Max was then curious about what the man had said. He wanted to know more about this guy. He decided it would be best if he met this man outside...
Hey Buri follow me outside I want to check something out. I may need back up.
Max decided to bring Buri in case this was a set up and so he could see if Buri had truly in improved since their army days...

Maximillion took the cue, and stood back to the side while he waited for Max and the woman to do whatever they were going to do before they met up.
Certainly, he thought it was a trap. And Maximillion didn't blame him. After all, some tall, dark-clad figure came and approached him in a Club, the Shadar Demon would've followed the man out with one hand in his pocket the whole time, cluthing his favorite weapon of all time.
It was strange, how one could often judge another's reaction by how they themselves would react. He got the feeling that other than the similarities in name, there were other things the two shared in common.
Turning, he made his way through the crowd. One of the people in the club turned and stared straight at the ebony man, a scowl forming on his face as he looked upon him, but Maximillion either didn't notice, or didn't pay it any mind.
As Maxy and Bury passed by the man, though, they would hear the man saying something along the lines of 'I just saw him! He's here!' into a cellphone, then darting the younger Max a similar gaze, and whispering something else into the phone, before mixing back into the crowd and out of sight again.
Just what was going on here? Well, they were about to find out.

Buri hopped out of her chair in one swift movement. She looked at her feet as she walked outside after Max. The main change in Buri was the fact that she was far more confident then she used to be. That affected her fighting and the rest of her life. When she wanted something now she took it, and when she was pissed she said so. Before she had been quite compared to Max and the rest of the others.
Buri tapped her foot to the music she could here playing from the inside of the club. Buri looked for someplace to stand once she was outside. She ended up puling herself onto the top of a lamppost and straddling it. Buri waited for Max to take care of whatever business he had.
