>> Pretty G I R L Spencer Lee had been in Misery for about four months now. After living in Crystal City and… Hilary things had gotten bad for him. This was his new start, he needed a new start. He knew he wouldn’t be able to get away from this ‘gift’ some called it. Him being a slayer and all. Xander had been nice with him, he had left him stop with him in the house seeing as well Buffy and Willow found him… interesting Lisa had said. He wasn’t much welcomed by the slayers, they found him wrong, disgusting? He couldn’t put the words to it but a lot of them didn’t trust him. He just put it to them more then likely being fish divers. He didn’t mind so much he kept himself away from the head quarters a lot of the time.
Spring may have been here but it wasn’t all that cooler. The night sky was clear other then the half moon shining down. The park looked pretty in the moon light, the pond sparkled of sorts. Spencer was wearing a long sleeve black t-shirt with the words ‘eat dust’ printed on the back. His own little touch to his fashion. He wore boot cut jeans with black boots to match his laces dangling.
He had been walking for at least two hours by now, going by all the latest hot spots for vampires, yet found nothing. It was like they were hiding from him. Which wasn’t fair he didn’t like hide and seek.
He looked around the park spotting a pretty girl laying on the park bench. Her blond hair dangling of the bench. Many questions ran through his head about the girl, like who was she, why was she there, was she a demon, vampire or even a slayer but he just couldn’t stop thinking of the main one. ‘gosh she is pretty’ He should have been thinking of patrolling and not his man reaction. A vampire kicked him in the back of the head sending him to the ground.
Spencer rubbed the back of his head muttering to himself about how it was the wrong time and that his head hurt. He got up to see five vampires around him. “So this is the slayer… not much is he Ray” A blond haired vampire said to Ray who Spencer believed was the one that kicked him. He had construction site boots on. He could feel the mark they left. “Never are Sid never are” Ray hissed as they begun to attack. Spencer ducked making tow of the vampires run into each other knocking them out. He shot his left leg out snapping on of the vampires legs, the now one legged vampire screamed in pain which awoke the girl. The two knocked down vampires got up seeing the girl and ran for her. Spencer attempted to go after them but was pulled back by the other two vampires. “Guessing we can’t just talk about this?” Spencer said with a yeah-sure-Spencer-they-will-just-put-you-down-and-go-for-coffee smile.

Driving aimlessly for hours on end was beginning to get tiresome. She didn't know where she was going or what she was going to do, she just knew she had to go. What the hell was she going to do? She'd spotlighted as a waitress for a few summers but would that be her life from now on? She had no qualifications, nothing. She hadn't even graduated high school. She could probably go back but that would involve enrolling at a school and they'd have to get her transcripts from her old school, and then someone would know where she was.
No... it wasn't going to happen. Alyssa Rose was just going to become invisible. She was just a normal 17 year old girl, she didn't have supernatural powers, she certainly hadn't killed people or turned anything to dust. No-ser-y. She was just a girl. Well that was her story at least. She was going to drive until she found somewhere that could be home, for now at least. She would have to resign herself to her new life long career as a waitress. She had to try not let anyone close, not let anyone know who she was. What she was. What even WAS she??
A stifled yawn slipped out of Alyssa's mouth, her hand coming up to cover it. The car window was jammed so she couldnt try and get some air in there. She really should do something about that. Alyssa noticed a park coming up ahead of her. She wasn't even sure where she was, she was just driving through really. But as she came to the entrance she pulled up outside.
Walking through the park, the slight breeze that hit Alyssa's face was so nice. It actually helped her stay awake for at least a few seconds. Her legs were just so tired that she could barely hold her up. The bench up ahead seemed rather inviting and as Alyssa parked her bottom down she was so glad she had done so. Pulling her legs up to her body she leaned her elbow on the arm of the bench and her head on her hand and apparently, fell asleep.
The next thing Alyssa knew she was being abruptly awoken by howls of pain. Her body snapped upwards, not sure which feeling consumed her, shock or fear. She watched as there appeared to be a fight breaking out between t group of people before her. 2 of the guys seemed to spot her in her place and come towards her.
Trying to back away, Alyssa found an obstacle in the form of the bench she was on. She was trying to move further into the corner of it but she was then grabbed by the material of the top that she was now barley wearing as it was tugged away. But it held her well enough for him to be able to lift her up off the ground.
Feet flying in adverse directions as Alyssa tried to struggle away, her face screwed up. She wanted to scream but honestly she couldn't. Her eyes snapped closed, her body shaking ever so slightly, and then the next thing she could hear screams, and she could feel the heat off the guy that held her. All of a sudden her body fell to the ground with a bump.
Looking around she watched one guy get sent flying into the water as everyone else did the turning to dust thing she'd seen happen to the guys that attacked her grandparents. Alyssa stayed, legs stretched on the floor, the top of her body reclined and her hands holding her up. She gasped but that was the extent of what she was capable of right now.

The grip of the vampires hand wrapped around Spencer’s throat squeezing tighter and tighter. The vampires skin was ice cold, no blood pumped to keep him warm. Spencer was still firmly on the ground even though the vampire was grabbing hold of him. He was talker then the vampire which to some could just look a little funny seeing a tall guy getting his ass kicked by a mini vampire. Plus Spencer was not going to let the vampire kick his ass. The other two vampires kept a hold of his arms leaving him unable to grab a hold of his stake in the back of his jeans. This was unfortunate. Spencer wounded how these vampires knew him, he didn’t make it public he was a slayer and only Buffy and the others at the watchers council knew that and he was sure the other slayers wouldn’t go around talking about the male slayer to other demons. Wasn’t he?
Unless… ‘Grace?’ that name was stuck in his head.. the demon had caused so much pain and misery in his life. He never killed her in fact he ran away from her. What was he meant to do stand up and fight a demon that had killed his whole family just to get to him? He was have lost. He was new at the whole slayer gig, they would have died in vain. Could it be her?
Before Spencer could even talk let alone kick ass he was thrown into the arm by the vampires hurling him into the pond. Everything was moving fast as he flew through the air when he saw flashes of bright lights like fire blurring as he hit the water. He hit the water with a thud hitting his head on a rock at the bottom. He was out of it for a second or two until the lack of air became a factor. The pond was not all that deep but it was just enough that Spencer had to swim a little to get himself out.
He pulled himself up the edge of the pond pushing himself up with his arms and out of the pond. He felt the cut on his head from the rock looking at his hand at the blood. He knew it would heal. That was good. He could smell burnt flesh for a moment before the light wind blew in another smell. This smell was nice. It was the girl, what ever perfume she was wearing worked, he was over come by the smell. Spencer shock his head remembering that he never set the vampires on fire… and he was sure they didn’t just combust.
Water was just dripping from him, head to toe as he made his way closer to the girl. “Are you alright?” Spencer asked her looking for any bites or the like on her. Again getting lost in her smell. ‘stop drooling you geek’ he thought.

The guy falling into the pond hadn't gone un-noticed by Alyssa. Neither had the fact he rather quickly re-emerged. But Alyssa didnt even attempt to acknowledge him. What had she done? As far as poor lil Lyssa was concerned, she'd killed a bunch of people AGAIN. Thing was they were never people, they were vampires. But how was someone that had only heard of them in the movies to know that?! If she only knew it would be a pretty nifty little power. Alyssa didn't know how she was even doing it, all she knew was that she was.
As a voice rang in her eyes, Alyssa snapped to attention. Looking up at the beautiful boy. She looked fish slapped for a moment, trying to sleep but just gasping in air instead. She couldn't seem to find her words, that was until her eyes met his face. There was a sense of calm in those baby blues. Why did he not get dusted? Alyssa didn't get it but then her head turned to why was he so god damn good looking.
"Ummm..." TALK TO HIM DAMMIT!!!! "You're not gonna hurt me are you?" Alyssa asked, pulling herself off her hands, her torso free standing as she brushed the little bits of gravel out of her hand. It was then that she realized how much her back hurt from being dropped, muttering an 'ouch' as she attempted to pull herself up off the ground. Well at least she wasn't still tired?

Spencer watched as the pretty girl pulled herself up from the ground. He should have helped her… it was the manly thing to do however Spencer was just getting closer to her as she got up. She asked him if he was gunna hurt her… which made Spencer laugh a little which possibly would not have helped. A lot of bad guys laugh when they are about to hurt some one. Maybe he shouldn’t have done that…
“No, I’m not going to hurt you” Spencer smiled putting his hands in the air to show he wasn’t going to harm her. “Spencer” He held out his hand to shack hers before a few seconds of silence form of which he pulled his hand back and wounded what to do next. He didn’t know if this girl really thought he was a good guy and wouldn’t harm her. However he was soo going to kick them vampires ass’s before he was thrown into the pond and they turned to fire which then brought him back to how did that happen? He remembered two of them going for the girl… did she do it?
It wouldn’t be anything out of blue if it was true I mean he had seen stranger things. The weather was not really cold but it wasn’t really that warm that he could stand around in these wet clothes. Which then reminded him… ‘balls my phone’ that was the 5th phone in the past year he has had to get. His job really hated his phone. “The fire? I mean the vamps turned to fire right?” Spencer asked her wondering if she could make it any more clear to him.

A little sigh escaped Alyssa. Sorta like 'thank god' as he said he wasn't going to hurt her. Then he introduced himself as Spencer. She took his hand shaking it. "Alyssa Rose." She returned. There was a slight smile on her face as she said that but she was clearly still terrified. Everything had been quiet and a little awkward for a moment. Alyssa had found her eyes wandering over that toned body of his. The he said something about the fire.
Lips gasped open, Alyssa tried to talk and say something about the fire but then she suddenly stopped and frowned. "Vamps?" She asked. So she was lost, scared, alone AND confused... great.
