Near a deserted parkway near the Council building, a small portal opened up, stepping from it was the Old One, Madax, and a young Watcher by the name of Lola. The Old One stepped from the empty parkway, and looked on at the Watchers Council. As the cool, gentle breeze brushed against his face, causing several strands of his dark brown hair to lift slowly into the air for brief moments, he looked at the woman beside him and awaited her to be ready. The Old One was always ready. It was something that he was good at being. Something he was used to being all the time. To Madax, were he never ready for an instant, it would lead to an untimely defeat. The Old One turned, facing the Watcher with his arms crossed and his facial expression free of emotion. His eyes were blank, making him look more like a statue than anything else. He was ever-so still, awaiting his temporary human companion to be ready.
“Are we to just simply walk in?” He asked curiously, but with a slightly commanding tone, “Would nobody attempt to stop us at all?”
He was curious as to what surprises he would face inside. What magic these watchers probably had, or what sort of traps the building held inside. Whatever the case, he would be ready to take down anything that they had in store for him.

"Yep just walk in." Lola started to go toward the building. "And try not to cause any attention to yourself... ok?" She said to him.

Madax watched her walk towards the building. He knew good and well what he should do, and with the help of his shell’s memories, he would be able to act human without notice. Madax began to walk across the street, following the human into the building. The inside of the building smelled funny, as did all English places usually would. The smell of the old Victorian age lingered well within the entire building once Madax stepped in. The marble floor below reflected Madax’s human form, a form in which he was not used to seeing so much. He looked around at the humans who walked around, sensing their emotions, sensing their powers, knowing that some were witches and warlocks. Not exactly hard to read in his case, but as he continued to walk around, he looked at the objects around him and so forth.
“You watchers come here to watch and train slayers?” he asked, “This place is very strange, just like every other place I have been to. It is filled with so much life and yet I sense that everyone here who is native to these lands do not share their emotions compared to everyone else. Like I, who am trying to mimic humans, it appears that some humans try to mimic demons. Is this nature of humans common in these modern times?”
Madax stood, awaiting an answer from the Watcher beside him. Her way of life seemed complicated to understand, but the Old One was ready to learn. He would enjoy learning anything he could about the ways of the humans of today, and the demons that exist. Even the texts of the Old Ones.

"Well mostly. I think that some people do open up alittle. And we mimick almost anything. Like when we see animals swimming we try to learn too. And how animals make homes. And sometimes how demons kill." Lola said
She continued down the hall untill she reached the library. she instantly started looked for books on ancient demons.

Madax watched the human enter the library. “Interesting…” was all he said on behalf of what the human had said about their nature of things. Madax had realized long ago that humans were born with evil, but at young ages, such as children, there was barely even a molecular trace of darkness inside at all. It was as if the evil grew when human beings were in civilization.
Madax followed, walking into the library and looking through the books that stood on their shelves. His bare hands were covered in leather gloves, the same gloves his shell wore before merging with Madax. The Old One had come to realize that he was now forever bound to its human counterpart for good, and could not leave, even if he wanted to. As the Old One stood behind the Watcher, looking through the books on a shelf, opposite to the watcher, he began to wander through several books at once, before finding something on Mathias, the Old One that Madax had killed, but was also killed by at the same time.
“Of the scores of Old Ones that ruled eons ago,” Madax began to read aloud, “none were no faithfully worshipped than the Old One, Mathias; or the ‘Blessed Unholy Prince of the Primordial Era’. Powerful was the great Old One, it was half of the reason that the rule of the Old Ones ended. Murdered at the hands of the first ever Old One, Madax Vodrex, also known as the ‘Emperor of the Primordial Era’. Not much is known of most of the Gods that worshipped Mathias, but it is believed that the goddess known as Jasmine worshipped this Old One faithfully, even to the end of her days.” Madax had ceased to read there, as he placed the book back into its proper area. He turned to the human and looked down to the floor. His fist was clenched tight, breaking through the leather of the gloves that he wore.
“Mathias…he was the Old One that had killed me, just as I killed him…” There was anger in Madax’s voice as he spoke. Great anger that was quickly suppressed, as to keep from transforming to his demon form then and there. “Lola…have you found any books yet?” Madax’s voice was more considerate for once, perhaps more human than he had ever been, as his eyes also showed a bit of sympathy as he looked back at the watcher.

Lola pulled out a book she had hid for safe keeping. "Yep." The cover was red with green letters, Ancient Demons and the First. She sat down the floor and started flipping threw the pages.

Madax looked at the book that she had held in her hands. The Old One knelt down in a crouching style, eyeing the pages of the book closely. He curiously looked, until spotting an image of his true demon form. The demon underneath the Shell that everyone had seen so far. The form of a monstrous serpent-like red dragon concealed in armor with glowing yellow eyes, wielding a blade similar to the one that Madax carried with him. Before the watcher could turn another page, Madax stopped her and the Old One looked at the page.
“This was what I once looked like ages ago…” His broken voice said, “At one time, I was this creature, much larger than the shell you see before you. At least fifteen times larger…” Madax’s human form was a good 5’11, making his true form around 86’5ft. Madax read on to see what the book said about what had happened after his death.
“After the fall of both Madax and Mathias,” he read aloud again, “the reality on earth began to grow unstable. The Old Ones who did not leave immediately were killed off by powerful waves of energy that both of the mighty Old Ones gave off, and even worse was the hellish holocaust that would follow, undoing everything that the Old Ones had done to their world. Forcing the Old Ones who left to watch in agony the horrors wrought upon their world stripped away to make a more peaceful habitat for mankind, the forces of darkness shrinking to nothing, but the size of a marble in the eyes of the Old Ones. However, the faithful followers of Madax, such as Glorificus, and several others still follow the creature, even today. Hoping for his return before all others.”
Madax turned away, as if he just read a horrific horror story. What would one feel if they just discovered that they were the reason for their kind’s fall? Madax seemed to be taking pretty well, but inside his body shouted loud enough to rip voids to ribbons.
“So…I am the architect of my kind’s demise in this world and the reason your kind has flourished… was all he said.

Madax sighed and stood up, walking around the rest of the area that they were in. He looked back at the watcher and then around the area. Interestingly enough, Madax had never given a human the chance to fight him in hand to hand combat. Now would be the perfect time, and he recalled passing a training room on the way in. He stepped over the watcher and looked down at her.
“I would like to go explore the building,” he spoke suddenly, “alone too. I would like to see what else you watchers are capable of. I will return soon, and I promise not to hurt anyone.”
Before the watcher could even protest, Madax had turned and made his way to the door. Exiting, he looked around to discover the rest of the building that he was in, hoping to find something interesting within the building to do.

Matty'd been wandering about with a book of spells propped open in his left arm, his right hand rested on a corner ready to turn pages. He mumbled an incantation he was looking at, just reading aloud. His finger tips grew warm and a small flame started under them. "Oh crap!" He said under his breath, glancing around to make sure no one had seen his mistake as he patted the fire out leaving singes on the page. He shelved the book and walked away casually, a littl embarassed.
