What did Thorn say now? She could give her real name which would sound a little more normal but which she hated being called, or she could just tell Micky the name she'd picked up many years ago and hope the girl didn't ask anything about it or hadn't heard anything about her before.
She'd take the risk, if the girl had heard of her she'd just find a way out of it, say it wasn't her. "Thorn" she answered, luckily she'd made up her mind pretty fast and their hadn't been much of a pause. "and you?" she asked, trying to push on before any questions could be asked.

Thorn, a strange name, not very common. But Micky assumed that it was in most chances a nickname, so it wasn't such a big deal. It was actually kind of cool, Micky thought, and even though she didn't really know the girl it seemed to suit her somewhat.
But then the question was used against her, and once again that was expected. It wasn't like it used to be though, she was no longer paranoid about being found, about giving away her name. "I'm Micky," she responded, extending her hand.

Thorn slipped one of her hands from her pocket and shook Micky's hand for a few moments. Finally letting go she let her hand return to her pocket and stared around the ruined building once again. She had no idea why she was still here, the lie had simple been an excuse to get out of this place without having to confront her problem yet again, but now she didn't really want to leave. I'll just stick around a while, see what she knows, whats going on now

Thorn having let go of her hand, Micky folded her arms around her chest, pulling on her sweatshirt sleaves slightly as she did so. It was cold out, to be expected because of the season. Right, it was December, there was never really a reason to remember that before. Micky would have to get Willow something, Zyoria before. After all, they were some of the two most important people in her current life. "I wonder what's gonna happen now..."

Thorn shrugged her shoulders and was silent for a moment, "Thing will be rebuilt and in times things will go back to the way they were, or as close as they can get.. it's always that way," she replied finally, dragging her foot across the snow infront of her so she could see the ground beneath is again.
Now what was the reason she was still around, Micky obviously didn't know anything about the slayers future plans so she had no reason to be here. But again she pushed away reason and stayed where she was.

Everything seemed to happen that way. People rebuilt what ever fell apart, and then in most cases either pretended that nothing ever happened, or commemorated it, turning it into a good thing. Personally, Micky found the whole thing entirely pointless, perhaps she was just too pessimistic to believe that anything was acheived. People risked their lives for this, and nothing would ever come from it.
"I guess so," she told Thorn, although not looking at her. She looked at the wreck, at the debris of the fallen building. And slowly, she began to walk toward it. She should have been here.

Thorn stayed where she was, watching Micky as she moved slowly forward into the wreckage. Though Thorn loved the chao and fighting she was not a fool and if any word of the war that took place here had got to her she would have stayed well away. Looking at what remained it was obvious why, things like this happened.

Micky kneeled down onto the snow, not caring at the moment that it was cold. She ran her hand through a pile of scraps in front of her. There was a gun, no doubtedly belonging to one of the soldiers. It was so messed up that the army had been a part of this, that they were the reason this place was in destruction, because they thought they were saving the world.
And laying next to the gun, embedded in the snow, was a soldiers hat, presumably belonging to the same person. Had he died here, whoever he was? There wasn't a body, so he probably made it away. Buffy had died somewhere around here. Was her body still here, amongst the ruins?

Slowly Thorn began to walk forward into what was left of the building, taking her time to get closer to Micky. If she'd wanted to, been able to, now would have been the prefect time to strike the girl. Stood behind her as she searched through the rubble she could have been feeding off her before she'd had much chance to move.
But again the thing that had been holding her back for so long gave her a swift tug which caused her stomach to lurch uncomfortably. Oh sophia, if it wasn't for your love of the sun I wouldn't have put off making you mine forever, now its all too late she thought, the sadness enough to show in her eyes though her jaw was set and she refused to let it effect her face.

Micky stood back up from the ground, somehow having made her peace with it. She looked back at Thorn, and clearly something was wrong. She looked sad, but was attempting to mask it. At first, Micky thought that maybe it was because of the situation. It was enough to make anybody sad, Micky herself was sad. But it was something different, she could see it in the girl’s eyes. “What’s wrong?” she asked, perhaps too bluntly. She couldn’t help it though, she wanted to know, wanted to help if possible.
