Xander was a little stunned "Visions, as in the tiny movies of bad bad things complete with headaches, those visions?" he said. He'd heard about them, he'd heard that Cordelia had had them, but they weren't on speaking terms when she did so he couldn't be considered an authority on it.
He put his hands in his pockets and rocked on the balls of his feet "Well Buri I know evil, and I gotta say that you don't seem evil, just really scared and a little confused, and since you tried to cut my face open I think I get final say on whether or not you're evil" he said with a smile. He wasn't sure of much, but he was certain that Buri couldn't be evil, mainly cos he was still alive. "And about these visions, I think I get to qualify as the side of good here, you can always tell me the visions when you get them, just try not to walk near lakes when they do. I hear drowning is one of the occupatioal hazards of Visions" he said with a laugh.
His mind was whirring, the cogs spinning wildly to try and work Buri out. He was certain she couldn't be evil, but he also knew there had to be a reason for why she was a bit, well psychotic is the best term.

Buri looked up. Her eyes appeared slightly glazed over. She was tired. Just then she felt like someone had shoved a spear through her head. Another vision, no. A memory. Max, how the hell would he react to this? Buri didn’t know why she valued his opinion, but she did none the less.
“You’re right, I’m not evil. I’m to good to be evil, and two evil to be good! Its like standing on a rope thousands of feet above the ground and someone hands you a cup of frickin tea! Just when your about to get the password, sorry no credit cards! Maybe it's my cousin Jill calling about weather to get red or blue. Red! Like the blood that covered all the babies tiny toes!” By the end Buri was screaming at the top of her lungs.
Something caught Buri’s eye. A squirrel. She began shouting obscenities at it. Yeah, Buri was having a tantrum.

Xander stood there open mouthed as he witnessed Buri go mental. OK Drusilla was more linear than Buri was right now. Xander had absolutely no idea what triggered the outburst, but he felt like what Buri needed now was a friend, or at least a semi-acquaintance who was stupid enough to try and calm her down. 'Paging Doctor Moron' he thought as he walked over to Buri and put a hand on her shoulder "It's OK Buri, it's a squirrel. Unless it grows to 6 feet tall and gains scales that's all it's gonna be, it doesn't need to be obscenitied at" he said with a smile. OK so far she had cursed at a squirrel, torn his face open and nearly drowned from a freaky vision. Now he was officially majorly concerned "Buri, why are you doing this? I can kinda tell that this isn't normal. So that leads me to think that you aren't doing this by choice, in fact I'd bet money that someone else made you like this" he said, and Xander only liked to bet when the odds where 2:1, or !,000,000:3, cos then he got much more money.

Buri turned to look at Xander. She was mildly calm.
“They see you, as they spin around on there merry toys, but they never stop to care.” Buri said almost sadly.
Buri suddenly blinked like she had just been slapped in the face. She didn’t remember any of her outburst. The last thing she remembered was Xander talking about visions, like tiny movies with headaches. Buri tilted her head to the side like an animal. She must have zones out.
“Sorry, I think I zoned out, what were you saying about the visions. Do you know someone who gets them.?”

Xander blinked several times, well technically he winked several times but if he had his second eye woking as it used to he'd be blinking several times. "Zoned out? So you don't remember just yelling various curse words at a squirrel, cos that's something you would remember" he said, now past confused and heading straight for utterly out of the loop. "Look let's try and work out why you just went bizzaro goirl on a squirrel and then we'll talk visions, which I have to warn you I know jack about" he said, it was very true too. After he and Cordy broke up they didn't call each other, and when she moved to LA they called each other less. The only info he had on visions he had gotten second hand from Willow, and he wasn't that good at retaining second hand info.

Buri looked at Xander with a questioning look on her face. Then she realized what had happened. Buri sighed and put her head in her hands. She let out a short laughed followed by a sigh. Buri shuffled her feet and looked up.
“Sorry about that. I don’t know why, sometimes a just flip out. Certain things…” Buri didn’t finish.
Even she didn’t know why she went crazy at times.

Xander kinda sorta understood, but not really. He got that Buri didn't know why she had flipped out, but something told him there was more to it. But something else told him not to push, so push he would not do. "OK Buri, as long as your not gonna pull a Jekyll/Hyde on me then we're all cool and square" he said, smiling.
He was wondering what made Buri act so mental, and he knew whatever had made her so bizzare wasn't a good thing, in fact he smelled the faintest aroma of a government conspiracy but he didn't want to bring that up, at least not yet.
He sat down on the graound and patted the ground beside him, offering the patch of whatever to Buri "Come and sit, relax and try to enjoy a peaceful moment of alleged sanity" he said smiling, maybe all Buri needed was a bereak or a friend, who knew what it'd take to get through to her, but Xander had the time, the energy and the patience to work it out.

Buri honestly doubted Xanders sanity but sat down none the less. What kind of idiot would save someone who had threatened to kill them and then continue to be buddy buddy with them. Buri was thankful though. It was nice to have someone no matter how crazy you were continued to treat you like a human being.
“The vision, if thats what it was, hurt so bad. So you don’t know anything about them?”
All Buri knew was that visions would connect Buri with the powers that be. Usually the powers that be had a plan. Maybe they were planning to kill her in some noble way. Buri smirked at the thought no way could she ever be noble.

Xnader smiledasBuri sat down, he must be mental to be trying to be nice to her, but then again he could also just be desperate for human contact he wasn't sure which.
He thought about his limited knowledge of visions and decided that a little was better than none "Well I'm not an expert on the subject, actually I'm not an expert on any subject. Every time I play 'Trivial Persuit' I always lose, even the kids edition. But anyway, From what I know about visions they're like little movies with a migraine and no popcorn" he said "I really don't know much else about them though, Willow didn't go into specifics, she did say something about how 'no human could handle the visions', but the only person I know who had them was cordy and she can hardly be the prime example of human" He turned to face Buri and put on a serious face "She was a preppy cheerleader who said things meant to hurt, not the pinacle of humanness" he said with a giggle, he wouldn't mention the other reason why he wasn't a member of the Cordy fan club, that might confuse the situation more

No human can handle the visions. The words rang in Buri’s head. Did she qualify as human? Buri knew what couldn’t handle meant. It meant eventual death. Buri said nothing, just stared at the ground. She didn’t want to die, she knew eventually she would all people did, but to know that you would die of an unnatural cause was a bit unnerving. Wait, maybe she was getting ahead of herself, it might not even be a vision. Buri coughed. She knew to well that it was a vision.
“This Cordy person. Is she…alive?” Buri asked hesitantly.
Buri shook her head vigorously, as if trying to clear it of something. She only succeeded in giving herself a headache. As if she wasn’t already enough of a nutcase, the PtB decided to give her something else to eat away at her brain. Buri looked up at Xander.
“I desperately need to get my mind off depressing things, it can’t be good for what little sanity remains. Tell me something, about you, I don’t know…do you have a dog.” Buri laughed at the last part.
