Night had just fallen over Misery Valley, and like most slayers, Micky began her hunt. It was different tonight though, for her. She wasn't just hunting for one simple vampire, she was hunting for Thorn. Despite everything, Micky still blamed Thorn, even though she wasn't the only one at fault. But in coming to this warehouse, Micky was hoping to find her.
She didn't know where to go in order to find the vampire, as most times she usually just happened to show up. So she came here, to the exact spot where Micky first discovered that Thorn was a vampire. She had been foolish to think that a vampire could be anything but evil.

Stood high up on a large pile of left over materials Thorn was apparently invisible to someone lower down who had not let their gaze search all of the area. She however had perfect view of Micky as she entered the warehouse. This day was something she had been waiting for, wanted to avoid but knew was coming.
Now she had three main options that stood out to her. She could run, leave the warehouse before Micky noticed her and try avoid her, or she could go for a surprise attack and try get the upper hand. These two were pushed aside however for the third, she guessed it was the real reason she was at the warehouse. She'd had a feeling Micky would look for her there and had arrived to make the fight a fair one.
Jumping down onto the ground Thorn landed with a loud thud she was sure would catch Micky's attention. She stood staring across at her and removed her coat slowly not wanting to fight in something so long. Her eyes did not leave Micky's once as she did so and she threw the coat aside, her shirt now visible and her hands covered by fingerless gloves.

Micky spun around as she heard someone behind her, and came face to face with Thorn. She was motionless as her eyes met the vampire’s, Thorn taking off her coat. And as she did so, she took off her own leather jacket, revealing a simple black tee. Her pale arms were scared and bruise, as was the rest of her skin, brought on by the fighting that she has done over the past five years. Any scars gained here would be as indifferent as the first.
In all honesty, part of Micky hadn’t expected Thorn to be here. She had come here searching for the vampire, true, but she was pessimistic that she would actually find her. After all, it was always the hardest to find something when you want to. Why tonight? Micky didn’t know. She didn’t know what pushed her to hunting for Thorn this night of all nights. Maybe it was because she had talked with Willow, coming to the conclusion that she had to be away from her, at least for now. Whatever it was, she was ready.
“Are you ready?” That was the important question. Micky needed to know that Thorn was up for a fight, that she wasn’t fighting someone that hadn’t prepared to fight her. This wasn’t just some simple fight with any random vampire. It was so much more important than that.

Thorn's hands curled slowly to fists, not because she wanted them to but because it was a subconscious reaction, by now she was so used to danger it came automatically. It seemed odd to her that the two of them had just happened to show up here tonight, as if they knew this was the time, this was when it would happen. Maybe they had done.
Nodding her head Thorn stared across at one of the few people that had come close to being her first friend in a while, of course that was all over now. "And there is no point in asking if you are" she replied.

“Guess not,” Micky said, shrugging slightly. She raised her own fists, holding them out it front of her, clenching them tightly. Part of her wanted to wait for Thorn to make the first move, but she couldn’t. The longer she waited, the harder it would be to fight. She had to get this over with…now. Without warning nor further hesitation. Micky charged at Thorn, stopping in front of her, and started with an attempt to punch her in the ribs.

Taken by surprised Thorn only just managed to block the punch to her rips, she stummbled backwards a few steps and reminded herself not to get caught off guard like that. She'd seen the doubt and for a moment had expected that Micky was going to back down. She should have known better. Getting her footing back she swung to hit Micky in the face. She would have said something if she hadn't know they were passed talking this through.

Micky’s head whipped to the side as Thorn’s fist came in contact with her jaw. The hit would bruise, but it didn’t mattered. Nothing mattered here but the outcome. But she had to be more careful. She couldn’t get confidant, couldn’t get sloppy, because if she did, she wouldn’t win. Chances were, she could die. Without even bothering to look up, Micky went for a quick kick at Thorn’s legs, hopefully to kick them out from beneath the vampire.

Thorn had only just had time to realise her fist had not been blocked when she felt Micky's foot make contact with her leg. She hadn't been expecting it and she collapsed down onto her knees, hitting the concrete floor below her with force. She wasn't up to scratch anymore and she knew it, a few years ago a fight like this would have been a normal thing for her but lately she tried not to fight slayers or any type of hunter and even her fight for revenge again other vampires seemed to be slowly disappearing.

“Get up!” Micky shouted at her. She wasn’t going to fight Thorn while the vampire is on her back. It was hard to explain, but she just couldn’t fight that way, not now. Thorn said that she was ready to fight, and it was that Micky was counting on. She needed the vampire to fight back. “Now!”

Thorn forced herself to her feet, knowing her heart was not in the fight. If she wanted to survive she better make sure it was. Deep down she did not want to fight Micky, not only were they friends but she was Willow's girlfriend and she didn't want to lose the other girl either.
Pushing it all aside she forced herself to think of Micky as just a random slayer who had attacked her. A growl came deep from in her throat, surprising even her, and her facial features transformer as she leaped at Micky, planning to pin her for an advantage.
