Lila knew it was over, but she was having a hard time processing the events of the last few minutes. She knew Finn had just saved her from a bloody fate, but she still wondered how a simple walk through the park had turned in to a fight for their lives, or hers… she needed to determine if Finn was dead or alive, maybe that’s how her mind worked in a crisis. “Is he good or bad?”she asked herself, knowing full well he had just saved her from death, she wasn’t thinking straight.
Finn just staring at her didn’t help matters, she knew him saying anything would be out of the question, out of the question for her as well. What do you say after something like that? She certainly didn’t know and by the looks of things neither did he. She had ripped her white blouse after tumbling down from the push of the vampire, it was a small rip and unnoticeable to the naked eye, but she knew it was there and that bothered her.
Was it exhilarating or traumatising? The experience that is, she was going through the motions. She felt she should speak up and thank Finn for helping her, “T..Thank you.” She said, looking on. One thing she had decided, the Magic Shop would be out of bounds this evening, she wanted to get home; out of the park, out of the darkness and out of danger. More than ever she wanted Finn to continue walking with her, but she wasn’t sure what he now thought of her.
A witch, unable to protect a person from two vampires, it wasn’t exactly looking good for her street cred. She made the presumption that he had now come to firm conclusion that she was a witch, or trying to be at least. “I know that wasn’t the best of ways to end our evening, but would you still consider walking me home?” she practiced in her head, not yet working up courage to say it. The silence was deadly; she awaited Finn’s reply to her thank you, but feared it would be a nod before his ultimate departure. She was in anticipation.

Fear was an odd thing, for some it turned them into a shivering wreck others its effect was odder. It made Finn feel alive, the fighting, the way he got hurt and of course the victory. He could smell it from Lila, she was scared and the speed of her blood pumping around her veins was like a drum in his ear. Reaching up to check the back of his head, the bleeding was slowing and the wound patching up thankfully.
At her thank you he shook his head and turned to pick up his hat "Its nothing, its done and over"cracking his neck to the side he smiled a little.
"Nice moves with that shield thing. We might have been vampire snack otherwise." Fixing his hair he plopped the hat back on his head and grinned "so a witch huh? Never really dabbled in that myself. Guess thats what your book was about earlier?"

Lila wondered if Finn being so forgetful of an experience that was completely traumatic for her was normal, or if he was just trying to be the bigger man about things. Whatever it was, she accepted it and was glad he didn’t just nod his head. She wondered if she should just play the lack of magical energy as an off day, or tell him the truth about her inexperience. She pondered for a moment and decided that after the deed of good will he had just displayed to her, he deserved the truth. “I’m quite inexperienced” she began. “I’m trying to get better though.” She continued and finished.
She wondered if Finn was judging her blatant lack of experience, “He must have been around witches before, I’m not up to their standards at all” she thought to herself. Her face was telling a story, she was embarrassed and upset at the fact she could not contribute more to the defence. “The book was just basic spells, floating a feather and things like that.” She announced. She had wondered what to ask him about his situation, he was obviously not human; at least that’s what she thought. Working up the courage, keeping quiet and pondering, she finally asked “Are you a vampire” eager of the reply she was about to receive.

"I thought you did great, so stop selling yourself short. Only ever met one witch before and all she started off doing was spinning pencils in the air. You did that whole warping air thing, damn impressive." Stretching up he smiled at her obvious embarisment, it was kinda cute in a way and was the total opposite of him.
Was he a vampire? Finn looked at her and stared for a moment before winking playfully "If I was a vampire me, bowie and sid there would have been chewing down on you together most likely. So no worries about me being a vamp ok?" Was that enough he wondered, was it fair of him to hide his proper nature after she had been honest and obviously was uneasy about it.
"I'm a Dhampyr"speaking softer now as he looked for his stake "Its kinda like a half breed, don't really know much more than that I'm afraid."

Did Finns hesitation to tell the truth bother her? No. She was content with his answer, but still had thoughts going through her head, vast paths of back and forth battle with her own conclusions were being laid. “Okay…” she answered softly, the moon was gleaming down from above and illuminating the small pond found within the park, light glistened down onto the softly rippling water as the wind softly swayed her hair to the side.
Lila’s breathing had slowed and her heart had come down to that of normal beat; she was still in shock but it wasn’t making prominent displays with the use of her body. “I think we should get out of here” she continued, looking on at Finn.

He wondered what that ok meant, since it was followed by an invitation to continue the rest of their walk he assumed it was a good thing. It kinda amused him how people reacted to what he was, that unsure and slightly confused tone as they tried to work out exactly being half vampire meant. Finn never really understood it, even after years of researching he was still mostly clueless.
Turning he nodded "yeah, we where getting you home and we can't let our little delay keep us from that. Though I think I will be having a hot shower when I get back to mine, this wind is pretty brisk"joking as he adjusted his coat now that the stake was hidden again he bowed and motioned to the path "Shall we continue them M'lady, your lodgings await your arrival" the way he acted it was like the attack had never happened but then he was extremely used to dealing with that sort of thing.

Lila smiled but tried not to giggle, she thought the situation didn’t call for laughter. “We shall, good sir” – The two slowly began walking again at a steady pace. “So, let me just throw this one out there, do you drink blood?” she asked. Lila wondered other things also, would sunlight affect him? Is he scared of crosses? The thoughts were no longer rushing through, more casually placed in her mind.
“I mean, there’s nothing wrong with that; well, there is… but not for you, I don’t mean you, your kind, well, not your kind but…” she stopped, a babbling idiot isn’t something she’d like added to her reputation at this point. She took a breath and tried once again. “There isn’t anything wrong with that; I wouldn’t be grossed out or anything.” She continued, trying her best not to come across in the wrong light.

He laughed softly "Always the blood sucking question first. I guess its the one that bothers people the most, so yeah I drink blood. I get hungry every three days or so, well for blood at least most of the time I tend to eat Pizza and the usual junk like everyone else. Guess I should preempt some other things before you ask. Yup I like getting a tan, crosses bug me and holy water burns like acid." Shrugging a little he smiled "I get to be a little weird I guess, not by choice but I cope with it. What about you, magics not really something you just drop into for fun. Least not the serious stuff. What made you delve into the dark mojo?"

“I wouldn’t call it dark. Just basic spells, floating a feather, protection barrier obviously. A friend of mine got me into it back in South Africa, we used to do some stuff together; one day she just stopped I don’t quite know why but she did; now I’m mostly researching and trying to teach myself”
It was cold and you could see the breath coming from Lila’s mouth as she spoke, evaporating ever so elegantly through the air. “How did you end up a… well a vampire?” she asked, wondering if she had worded it correctly. “I don’t mean to be intrusive, it’s just rather interesting I guess, I’ve read tales of vampires but nothing like you.”

"I am not a vampire"Finn snapped perhaps a little to bluntly "I have a soul and I don't kill, I am nothing like those animals"It was a major thing for Finn not to be like the vampires, he might have some common traits but that was it.
"I was born this way but it didn't start until I was about sixteen I guess, thats when my first episode I guess happened."Drinking from his first ever girlfriend had been an eyeopener for him, most likely for her too but it was his life that had forever changed.
"I've been hunting for info for years but theres next to nothing which means my kind are so bloody rare as far as I know I am the only one"frowning a little he sighed "Sorry, just been a lot happening lately and its hard to keep it all together at times. Its not your fault."
