She hadn’t meant to upset him; her only intention was to learn more about his situation. It was obviously something Finn was having trouble coming to terms with, although she couldn’t possibly be the judge of that, or what was going on. “I'm sorry” she whispered, hoping it was loud enough for him to hear. “I didn’t mean to categorize you as one of them, I hope you know I don’t see you that way.” She continued, turning to look at him. The two were walking down a narrow stone path between two rows of beautiful trees, swaying in the wind and creating black silhouettes of branches against the night sky.
She didn’t know what to say, what could she say? – She pondered for a moment wondering exactly what Finn was thinking, was he now resenting the fact she had called him a vampire? She didn’t want that, it was far from what she wanted. The two had struck a friendship and she wanted it to stay that way, she couldn’t bare the thought of being disliked by somebody, especially in her fragile state of mind this evening. “Again, I’m sorry” she divulged.

"its fine really, promise"He smiled from under the hat "I'm really nothing like them, I guess its like calling all german people Nazi's. I know you didn't mean it badly, I mean its a weird thing to take in. Trust me on that one." His demeanour had changed completely, no longer seeming annoyed but relaxed and normal once more.
Kicking a stone and watching as it ricocheted off a near by tree he smirked "Don't worry about, we're cool. Magic is pretty scary, maybe your friend went to far and decided to stop before something bad happened?" Glancing at Lila he smiled "I mean the things witches can do is pretty incredible, not hard to see how it could go wrong someplace. I think some find it addictive, the power I mean."

“I’ve heard of people going too deep, but Lucy was just a beginner like me; she couldn’t have gone too far ahead.” Lila was glad Finn was in his some what mysterious and perky demeanour once again. “Magic doesn’t scare me, I know I’m capable of more than the basics, I just don’t have a lot of time… I’d be good if I had the chance of practice” she continued, wanting to sound as though she was capable although in her heart she knew she wasn’t capable of much more than displayed before Finn this evening. Was her own self delusion good for her? Probably not but she kept up the mind set that she was better than possible, maybe it helped with her broken self esteem; whatever the case, she continued on.
“God, this park is bigger than it looks” she said with a slight giggle. “Not that I’m not enjoying the walk.” The thought had Lucy had entered Lila’s mind once again, exactly what had happened to her friend? Why had she chosen not to accompany her here to Misery Valley? It was confusing and upsetting, but needed to be addressed.

"Don't sell yourself short. I am sure that with some time and practice you'll be tossing vamps all over the place with ease.Finn grinned at her and nodded confidently "All good things take time, build on the basics and all that stuff. Can't pick up a guitar and expect to write the next classic rift right?"
At her comment about the park he grinned "I'm following you remember. Your right though, good company is a definite bonus here. You know I think you should be at least a little worried about the power your playing with. Its old and its not like it cares what happens if you misuse it but you should, right?" He'd never really seen what happened with things when they went wrong but Willow had talked enough about the dangers to know that it wasn't something you just picked up and ran with like a new toy. It had good things and bad points.

She appreciated Finn’s concern, but was still adamant in the back of her mind that she didn’t need to be worried. Lila continued walking alongside Finn at steady pace. “Thanks, I’ll be careful” she replied, thinking reassuring him would be the right thing to do. Lila’s bag was still hanging from her shoulder; she reached into it and pulled out the book she had been reading earlier, handing it over to Finn.
“This is what I was reading, studying if you will” she said, as he took it from her hand. Lila wondered exactly what he would make of the spells contained in the pages, or what he would have to say about Magic in general; she had come to good conclusion that he respected it, but does he accept it as feasible practice?

Flicking through the pages he read the little he understood and smiled "I guess its like music, you just need to understand the parts and stick it all together so it works in harmony."
Looking at her again he smiled "To be honest I only really know little bits and pieces. Last time I had a conversation about magic and the like my attention was on the witch."
Handing the book back he nodded "Best of luck with that though, just be careful. Hate to hear bad news about something happening to my new buddy."
He could see the fence marking the end of the park which caused him to grin widely "Wow it has an end, was starting to think we where going around in circles."

“So was I” she continued. What a night it had been, a simple coffee had turned into a fight and now an encounter with somebody she hoped was a friend. “Thank you for walking me…” she uttered, smiling at Finn. Lila didn’t quite know what to make of the night but she knew it was certainly entertaining, well; as entertaining as a near death experience can be.
Lila took the book from Finn’s hands and packed it neatly back into her bag as the two reached the fence and their supposed goodbye.
